The reason it became such a big deal was how the company handled the situation, not the image itself. The people running their Facebook page began deleting comments that were totally reasonable or asking clarification and banning people (some who hadn’t even commented). This pissed people off understandable, especially since some of these people had supported the company and bought products for a long time, as well as banning people from official BM groups including admins and a person from Disney Australia who they were/are making a new range with (plus having a Star Wars range).

Essentially, people were told to fuck off and not buy from them, which is marketing death…Especially for a company BUILT by social media and community support.
