true but “pony” have a girly ring to it
not saying ponies are for girls but they are a common thing girls often ask for when they are tiny

personaly i blame disney for that along with all the other companies that make tv shows with princesses in pretty pink dresses

I’ve always wondered, but were ponies considered girlish before MLP? Was that stereotype already around?

My Little Pony sounds girlish, but mostly due to the word pony. I don’t think My Little Dinosaur or something sounds all that girlish. Young, but not girlish.

It was, the creator of the original My Little Pony (before hasbro fucked it up) simply wanted to make a realistic looking pony toy for kids who couldn’t afford actual horses/ponies. Hasbro then got rights for it and tried to push the “All girls want a pink and sparkly my little pony” so it’d make for easy marketing for them. That’s why “pony” sound girly, because hasbro has literally convinced EVERYONE of this and as a result they’re one of the biggest toy names out there right now.

She did make it clear she had no problem with males watching, and was in fact happy to have them in the audience.

Jeez there’s a lot of weird stereotypes about Fedoras. Any hated group – hipsters, MRAs, bronies – is said to be wearing them. No-one provides evidence (you ever seen Erin Pizzey in one?) but it’s said and that means it’s true.

Well, I don’t have one.. i think i’d have to get one imported if i really wanted one and i couldn’t say they were the best hat for this climate – but humphrey bogart wore one, and i think he managed to look ok.

Unless he was a secret Brony Time-Traveller?!! Da Dahh Dahhhh!

She did indeed, cause really, what could be wrong with it? She wanted something that the whole family could enjoy. But at the end of the day what she wanted the most was a show for girls that didn’t live of the sterotipical eternal tea parties, and just bye doing that it’s enough to make it enjoyable for the rest of the family anyway.
