It’s Schrodinger’s Cat. Both alive and dead until observed. Supposedly, there is a radioactive metal of some sort that sets off a Geiger counter releasing a poison. Since radioactivity is totally random, we don’t know whether the cat is alive or dead until we look. Once we look, the 2 possibilities collapse into one universe. Either that, or there are 2 parallel universes that emerge, and we observe one of them only. Basically, the world’s largest mindfuck, and also the most important.
