Ok, I think I’m following you so far. That backs up what Algernon was saying too. I guess we will invent portals sooner than we will invent warp drives.
I never studied physics when I had the chance, wish I did. The subject still interests me as does astronomy.
Still, although Algernon seems convinced that CERN’s latest discoveries with nutrino’s were some kind of error; I feel that speeds faster than light cannot be ruled out so easily
My reasoning for that is more probability than mathematics: The universe is huge. Somewhere in that vast 99.999999999999999% of the universe that we have never observed, could there be something achieving tachyonic speed right now? We just haven’t seen it
