The only logical explanation is that somebody or other decided it would be great idea to go on the page and hold F5 for about an hour. (it does actually boost the count, I checked!)
That and the possible point that MLP doesn’t get checked at a fast enough ratio to Forever Alone. We have no confirmed reason though.
