Oh god. Don’t get me started on that. I don’t really listen to anything (Foo Fighters being the exception) less than around 20 years old. even with rap I tend to stick to 90s and early 2000s back when it had some substance to it rather than a repeated kick pedal and “BOOTY! CLUB! BOOTY! CLUB!” over the top or some guy rapping pseudo deep lyrics over a generic chord sequence. I can’t stand pop music either. It’s all just “I LOVE MY BABY BUT MY BABY’S GONE AND NOW I’M SAD” or “I LOVE MY BABY AND SHE’S HERE AND THINGS ARE GOOD”.
