Wait, what? I thought missionaries were supposed to be all holy and God-loving and fearing. Why would they call a hit on members of their own religion, even if a different sect? I mean, you’d think that the Crusades would have taught the church some sort of valuable lesson.
I’m glad they got around to reforming that, though. The way you put it, missionaries seem to be such wonderful people, bringing culture, literacy, and medicine to those in need with a keen sense of understanding and passion for what they do. A job like that would almost certainly restore the faith in anyone.
How do missionaries in LA and Mexico work though? Make people more Christian? How do they do that? They’re obviously not going around door to door like Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons do.
And yes, I find it quite interesting how prevalent Christianity is in South Korea, especially compared to neighbouring Asian countries where Christianity is nearly nonexistent (lol Christmas in Japan). Missionaries must have been working overtime there.
