I’m pretty sure that’s where they got it. An army of demons inhabiting some unfortunate soul is a fairly disturbing thought.

There’s some pretty strange stuff in biblical stories if you know where to look for it. I like those kinds of stories, where they start referring to nine-headed beasts or demonic posession- the ones you never hear about because they’re too creepy, bizarre or don’t fit with traditional squeaky-clean white-picket-fence Christianity.

I can’t help but point out that if we were to take Jesus the way he was, not even he would fit in with squeaky-clean white-picket-fence Christianity. I mean, he made a whip and chased people out of the church of that time period. It makes me laugh, watching people explain that one away, as if they’re not the modern-day money-grubbers in the temple.
