Well, like I promised, Blues Traveler. It’s almost 20 years old, but you may have heard it before. Anyway, I really like Blues Traveler (just like any band,) based mostly upon the music. If there’s neat progressions, some really virtuoso playing or singing, and a pleasant melody, then I’m probably Hooked.
Actually, if you can make out the lyrics, that’s actually what the song is about.
It doesn’t matter what I say, As long as I sing with inflection That makes you feel that I’ll convey Some inner truth of vast reflection.
But I’ve said nothing so far, And I can keep it up as long as it takes. And it don’t matter who you are: If I’m doing my job, it’s your resolve that breaks,
Because the hook brings you back…
I find it to mean that the composition of the music is what makes the song catchy, especially the chorus or the “hook.” I just showed you "Pachebel’s Rant, so you heard this song in there, but it only serves to emphasize the potentially self-depreciating point.
