Well, the progressions I recognize as being jazz-influenced. As for the female vocal, it seems as if she could very easily bounce into a bit of some scatting during her flourishes. So yeah, the hip-hop is obvious, but I’d say the jazz is slightly more evident that subtle. It fits/is made to fit.

And after looking up the closest translation for sencillo, I think that’s certainly one of the attributes about my tastes. I appreciate simplicity in music sometimes, which attracts me to a lot of contemporary, mainstream music. I have more complex tastes as well, but I find that some commonly used progressions and riffs are generally pleasing to my ear.
