I’ve seen some articles from Cracked that mimicked what I’ve seen in Social Psych classes, so it’s not a source of information, but I’ve found that they’ll link back to original articles more often and reliably than Wikipedia would. So I don’t think they’re talking out of their behinds most of the time. As for friendships, I think most people would feel much differently about their friendships than their romantic relationships. For example, your “soul mate” always seems to be someone you’re going to want to have sex with. I can’t see people getting married and not expecting sex. Heck, I’ve been told by girls that they wouldn’t date me, because of the fact that I wouldn’t have sex with them before marriage and/or because I don’t see the difference between certain touching and sex.
