Hm, you seem to be savvy in academia. My family doesn’t really know much about higher education. Earning my undergraduate degrees (i.e., Psychology, Sociology) was a big achievement for my family, so getting a Master’s (Public Health) was a bit overkill (especially considering the debt I accrued.)

My ideal situation is to work for a health department (really! I had a spectacular experience during an internship at one.) But there’s also an amazing loan forgiveness program that should pay off all of my loans if I commit to a local public health agency for three years. I’d like to do evaluations of public health interventions in order to see if they’re having the desired effects, but I’d also be interested in developing and implementing those activities.
