I’m not sure. Any forum moderator can feature a thread for any reason. And all it does in practicality is keep the thread from being locked. If I had to guess (again, I didn’t feature it, and we don’t have to confer with each other to make the call,) then I’d say it’s because it is a solid discussion thread that users can discuss about for a while.

Most of us are single and would like to be in a relationship with someone (some more or less than others,) so with Valentine’s Day coming up, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to make it so that the thread is a bit easier to find by scrolling through the pages and seeing it on its own gray line.
