No, most of what I do revolves around astrodynamics/orbital mechanics, but I do have to have a good knowledge of spectroscopy for my more general degree of astronomy. You won’t really find many people who specialize in that kind of work outside of planetary/atmospheric physics or astrobiology. I just calculate astrometrics for star systems. It’s not really all that interesting, to be honest.
