    Just signed up and I’m loving the site.

    I’m not sure on the memetic status of this (because it started as an ad) but the “I am” rants were crazy. Started as an ad but quickly gained traction with local groups and spawned hundreds of variations/deviations.

    Was interesting, to me, due to the cross-polanlization across YouTube and e-mail and main-stream media. But I’m curious as to the definition of this type of phenomenon.

    Google trends shows how localized it was.

    As resident Canadmin (see what I did there?) I don’t think it’s an internet meme.

    I remember my local rock radio station’s morning zoo doing an “I am Nova Scotian” bit and according to wikipedia other radio stations did the same thing with their provinces.

    Also I can’t find a lot of parodies on the internet.
