@ eloquent atheist
Well, had you said that years ago, you would have single handedly ruined my childhood, so allow me to respond in a similar manner.

@ RandomMan
I know, right? Seems to be a third for EVERY SINGLE REGION! I honestly think it will be a third Pokemon instead of a new form of Mewtwo (or Mew).

Page Get: Mewtwo in some slick armor.

My money’s on Mewthree being a whole new Pokemon, not just a new form. Also someone mentioned something interesting somewhere; Mew has blue eyes. Mewtwo has purple eyes. Mewthree has red eyes. Do you think that means Mewthree will be just pure evil? Mewtwo, at least in the movies, grew a sense of compassion. I wonder if Mewthree is some evil team’s attempt at making a super death machine Pokemon.

Although I’m betting on Mewthree being brand new, there’s still a solid chance it could be a new form. Some early movie poster for Genesect vs Mewtwo had Mewtwo prominently in the background, but this new one has Mewthree in the same place Mewtwo used to be, just like they did with the Keldeo movie poster. They just replaced Keldeo’s picture with a picture of the new form. Well, I guess it’s pointless to speculate this early. Probably best to just wait.

Mewtwo is jelly beyond consolation.

When you see it…

A fan translation (by bestservedcold of Gelbooru, a site that is pretty NSFW, so I won’t link to the translation):

Rosa: “So you, you’re a pretty rare Pokémon, right?”
Mewtwo: …
Rosa: “Hey? Want some of this? It’s half-eaten but it’s tasty you know!”
Mewtwo: … *hmph*

I don’t know whether anyone will agree with this or not, but I really don’t think mewthree is necessary. They already have some good mews; they’re both dangerous on the battlefield and are cool anyway, they might ruin it by adding mewthree. I think they should focus on improving other under-used or under-powered pokemon or adding new ones (fingers crossed for an ice-fire type).

In case you saw Katie C.‘s thread about the “news,” everything I’m seeing on it says it was fake (and suggested to be fake about a week or so ago.)

My personal source for news and rumors that could be legit is Serebii, and they aren’t even acknowledging it let alone calling it a rumor.

So for the future as more “news” comes out, remember to source it, or acknowledge it as rumor.

Also, the source should probably be from a well-known video game site or a Pokémon site that has been reporting news for a long time. Not Cheezburger.

I wouldn’t mind if Light type was a thing honestly. A new type would be okay, it’s a nice change from the regular types.

I support a new type and I am proud.

I would generate some much needed variety. Constantly running on adding yet another 100 Pokemon to the already freakingly huge list is impossible. Team building remains the same, you only have more options to choose from, and if there’s nothing good available you’ll stick with your old team anyway.

A new type would generate more variety in team building. Not only does it require more factors to keep in mind, but it will also generate some diversity amongst the huge list of Pokemon. Nearly all combinations have already been done, and at this point new Pokemon will just be the same old ones with a new skin. New types allow both new additions and the remaking of old types. When Gold/Silver got steel and dark, nobody complained.

Light is pretty much obligatory at this point should they go with a new type. The hints are there as well. As for Sound… Eh, seems legit, but I don’t see much options there in Pokemon and moves. It’ll most likely be like a second Poison if legit. A third type I can think might work out is something along the lines of energy (if they can pull ground and rock, sure they can fit this next to electric or psychic).

An average of two new types would be a great addition in my personal opinion. Three would be difficult to make function but can add some good change if done right. At this point 1 new type seems extremely legit.

So, if they are introducing new types, what would you think their advantages/disadvantages be over other types?
I think Sound type should be weak against Steel, Water, and Ground types (since Sound doesn’t pass through them), and strong against Ice and Flying types (Ice since it can crack with enough sound, but Flying… I forgot why I added that).
For Light, maybe weak against Fire and Flying types (things not affected by Light), and strong against Dark and Ghost types (brightening the dark). What do you all think?

Good ol idiotic Ash. Pignite’s taken a shit ton of damage and is up against a water type (even though type-advantage doesn’t mean shit in the anime), so what does he do? Leave him in of course. I had hoped there was a “no recall” rule for the match but nope, just Ash being Ash. Fifteen seasons and he still can’t form basic strategy. And people wonder why he never makes it past the semi’s.

@Mewthree
As long as he doesn’t wangst about being a clone or whatever for half a movie, I’m alright with him and his easy-to-grip handlebar head.

Apparently Ash doesn’t care about his Pokemon’s attack, defense or speed. The only stat he cares about is spirit, so basically he’s in the wrong franchise.

Oh, Ash. Didn’t even make it past the quarterfinals this time. Maybe if you took a cue from Team Eevee and actually used a little strategy next time, you’d get farther instead of screaming “Spirit! Hope! Faith! Courage” at the top of your lungs. On the one hand, I like how they’ve toned down Pikachu’s OP’dness, on the other, the thing’s trained more than any other pokemon, so it should have a ton of XP.

Also, if I’m not mistaken, this’ll be the first time Ash stays in a region after the League competition. Maybe they’ll finally bring in Team Plasma for a little much needed drama.

I think it kinda sucks that Mewthree is a different form of Mewtwo. I would much rather have had a new pokemon that a different form. I don’t know, I just like the idea of another separate pokemon more. This just feels…weaker somehow.

Oh, TPCi. Why must you continue to rustle my jimmies and piss me off? You brought back Oak’s original voice actor, so why must I continue to hear that abysmal voice out of his mouth? It’s been 400 episodes and I still can’t get used to it.

At least this episode went full on nostalgia. Team Rocket went back to their idiotic “capture the electric rat that can be found in wild packs in Kanto and is considered a pest” plot. At least they sang the original motto. And, if I’m not mistaken, N decided to show up in the stinger. Nice to see Team Plasma doesn’t pimp out their logo with a giant “P” everywhere they go. Now maybe we can get to the interesting plot. Team Galactic kicked ass back in Sinnoh, let’s hope Plasma can go for the repeat.

Wow, I wasn’t expecting N this quickly. I thought for sure they’d drag it out for ten episodes. Nice to see the next story arc finally getting set up. As for N, he seems pretty good. Isn’t annoying, or a douche. I just hope the PETA thing doesn’t become too annoying. I like it though. Finally, we’re getting a little society spanning controversy instead of the crap that only a ten year old would care about. It shows that there are actual problems in the still unnamed country that haven’t been dealt with. Problems and issues that the almighty Pokemon League is in the center of.

All in all, it looks like Pokemon’s finally getting interesting again. Now if only the writers could figure out what to do with Team Rocket.

I swear, if Team Plasma doesn’t crash the next whatever-the-heck-they-call-the-Unova-League, I’m going to be pissed. I’ve been waiting since Sinnoh for those episodes.

So, I’m finally playing Pokemon Black and White…

By the way, here’s why a Light type is likely: First, there’s no way Sylveon could be one of the 9 remaining types.

Second, take a look at Xerneas and Yveltal. They have to contrast in some way, right? Notice the rainbow colours in Xerneas’s horns, and Yveltal’s overall dark look. Light vs Dark, perhaps?

20 bucks says that’s what’s up.

That’s pretty much what we thought with Zekrom and Reshiram, but they were Electric and Fire.
Also, there are many types that Sylveon could be. Bug, Normal, Flying, Dragon.

Anyone know a good place to train lvl. 19-24 Pokemon in Ruby? Especially my ralts, I’m trying to evolve it into Kurlia. Follow up question: Where does one catch an Eevee? I haven’t seen any.

I sorta thought the same thing about the design of some of the 5th generation Pokémon (a bag of trash and a floating ice cream cone?)

They made the game work (my favorite generation along with the second), and as long as there are other Pokémon to catch that I like, it’s cool. I gave up on catching ’em all at around the 4th generation and just began to focus on my favorites.

“The first details of CoroCoro appears to have come out. Though currently unconfirmed, it looks too legit to be fake. We’re currently investigating and translating so keep checking. With special thanks to my friend Gin for translation.

First, the Pokémon on the far right is called Gogoat (literally Gohgohto) and is the Riding Pokémon. It’s Grass-type, 1.7m and 91.0kg. You can actually ride this Pokémon in the field. It can learn Horn Leech.

The lizard appears to be an Electric type, possibly Normal as well, but the name is currently unviewable due to overexposure. It has a new move called BaraboraCharge.

The bird is called Yayakoma and is the Japanese Robin Pokémon. It is Normal/Flying, 0.3m and 1.7kg.

The panda is called Yanchamu and is the Naughty Pokémon. It is Fighting-type, 0.6m and 8.0kg. It has a new move called Parting Remark.

There appears to be more including the game’s boxarts, and the Pokédex, as well as the region map but it’s not completely visible. We’ll bring more as it comes so be sure to keep checking."

Pokemon, why must you refuse to shed even a little light on anything? All I want to know is how Gym Leaders are appointed and you literally introduce a brand new Gym Leader who’s given several golden opportunities to world build and what do you do? Rehashed plot of escaped Pokemon.

You can world build, you know. I’m pretty sure eight year old boys have the mental capacity to handle something as utterly mind shattering as the name of the country the show takes place in. The Pokemon League itself could fill the plots to an entire region’s story arc. But no, we get no info on the Gyms, the League, or the country.

Oshawatt (I don’t even care enough about you to check and see if that’s the right spelling), evolve already so I can stop pitying what an absolute waste of a pokeball you are. I can’t recall a single time you actually won a match and that dick personality of yours makes me yearn for the days Gary “Douchebag” Oak.

@Gen 6 designs
Doesn’t this happen every gen? The new Pokemon are introduced and they’re immediately ridiculed for their horrid designs while everyone nostalgia’s over their favorite Pokemon/generation. Then, when the new gen gets released, everyone promptly forgives those designs and fangasms over the plot before ridiculing the next gen’s designs.

Nobody has bothered to post any THOROUGH translations of that article, so here I go! This isn’t an exact translation, but an explanation of it.

The goat, Gogoat (ゴーゴート), is the Ride Pokemon and is a Grass-type. The player can actually ride on it in the field as seen in the artwork on the scan with the two players. It is known for being a gentle Pokemon. It can learn Horn Leech. It is 1.7m and 91.0kg.
The panda Pokemon, Yancham (ヤンチャム), is the Naughty Pokemon and is a Fighting-type. It has a new move called Parting Remark which lowers its opponent’s stats and then forces the user to retreat. It is 0.6m and 8.0kg.
The bird Pokemon, Yayakoma (ヤヤコマ), is the Japanese Robin Pokemon and is Normal/Flying. It can learn Nitro Charge. It is known for announcing itself with its beautiful chirping and is very friendly toward humans. It is 0.3m and 1.7kg.
The lizard, Elikiteru (エリキテル), is the Generator Pokemon and is Electric/Normal-type. It has a new move called Parabola Charge which has an effect like Giga Drain. Elikiteru soaks up the sun’s rays to generate electricity for itself. It is 0.5m and 6.0kg.
More information about the Starter Pokemon was revealed: Chespin, the Chestnut Pokemon, is covered by a hard shell on its head and back that it uses to protect itself from attacks. It is able to make the spikes on its head shell sharper by focusing its energy. It knows Tackle, Growl, Vine Whip, and Rollout.
Fennekin, the Fox Pokemon, shoots heat out of its ears at 200 degrees Celsius. It often carries around its favorite food to snack on it.
Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokemon, can jump up to the height of a three-story building. Its bubbles are resistant and protect it from attacks. It can shoot foam at its opponent’s face to blind them.
The game’s region is named Karos (カロス) and is based on France. (To be honest, I was kind of clueless on that one.
Miare City (ミアレシティ) is one of the region’s main cities and is located in the center of Karos. It is where the player is seen riding Gogoat. It is the same city that first appeared in the X/Y trailers with the Eiffel Tower-like structure.
You can customize your characters’s skin tone, hair, and eye color.
The new Pokedex looks like a tablet device you can slide open to reveal the screen. It is seen in the top right of the first scan.

Also, more images:

I can already see the 18th Pokemon movie being a rehash of the first one. Oh noes, Team Strong Nuclear Force has cloned Mew again. Now Ash and company must travel to the Isle of Plot Convenience to defeat him in the most Deus Ex Machina manner possible!

Rated R. Coming to America whenever Cartoon Network feels like cutting half the movie and pissing off TPCi.

In Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire, if you catch one of each Pokemon, then train them all to level 100, then go to the Elite 4 and release everyone except for the game’s unique legendary Pokemon from that PC, and win the Elite 4 in the fewest turns possible (1 hit KOing every Pokemon) without using any items, instead of going to the hall of fame when you win, the champion will show you a place called the Cave of Destiny. Then you can fight Mew 3 X. It can only be captured by a master ball when it has 1 HP left. I know it’s true because my friend told me and his dad worked at Nintendo.
See look here’s proof:

On topic: I hope they do something more interesting with the bird’s evolutions. Maybe give it a second type besides normal or something.
