I think it’s worse than that. It looks like the whole team could collapse

• Jane is feeling alienated and depressed against her peers thanks to Jakes ignorance and a series of really bad luck.
• Jake is obliviously diving straight into corruption
• Roxy is losing contact with everyone else
• Dirk is playing lone wolf
• All four look like they are taking matters into their own hands instead of cooperating.

These matters sound like grounds for split-up drama

Now how are they supposed to win this game at this point? It all seems HOPELESS!!! ;_;

We already know they can’t. The post-scratch kids are in a void session, as explained by Rose here (next page too, watch yo save). Not to mention that the Courtyard Droll blew up the Battlefield so the non-prototyped battlefield isn’t really important anyways. Now that the trolls/pre-scratch kids are attempting to enter it, it can only (technically) be won with the pre-scratch Skaia.

Prediction: Hussie kills all of the post-scratch kids because he can and their session isn’t important. Kids and trolls complete the pre-scratch game. They nearly open the door, only for the Courtyard Droll to accidentally get a hold of the next Queen’s ring, go back to the Human universe, and kill everyone. Then everyone’s ghosts meet in a church that may or not be Purgatory and John becomes a Starchild. End panel, retire from webcomics, ???, profit.

According to the next page: not only is trickster mode canon, it’s also an extremely powerful god mode. A power that hasn’t been realized until now despite being activated by other characters more than once

I’m forced to assume that Janes more natural pranking vice’s allow her to utilize this power far more effectively than John and anyone else that engaged Trickster mode throughout the story.

Linking a really interesting theory about canon Trickster Mode

tl;dr Trickster mode is a glitch that allows you to reach your top God Tier instantly, which would explain why simply being on LOCAH instantly brought an entire hemisphere back to life.

Looks like beating Lord English may be up to the Tricksters, or whoever can find the White Magnum (which we already know can defeat English SAVE ALERT). Interestingly enough, the only person who we know could equip the Magnum is Jake, but when you consider the “Caliborn taking Jake’s name” theory, the Magnum may not be our Chekhovs Gun (no pun intended) here.
