Hi I’m Austin, I run a Memebase. Sometimes I think about the past and wonder if maybe it isn’t real. Don strong-armed me into doing this so I’m not very knowledge at anything Know Your Meme-lated, but I’ll answer Memebase questions at least.

I just finished Bastion so I’ll answer those questions too.

Who was your favorite character in Ghost Trick?

What was your favorite Phoenix Wright game?

What is Meme Dates?

I have to say I think the protagonist is the best character in Ghost Trick. I don’t remember his name but I just really like his hair.

Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations does a great job of tying the first trilogy together, but I must say I have a soft spot for the new innovations introduced in Apollo Justice. Also I’m obviously looking super forward to Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney. Italics, bro. They’re official.

Meme Dates is an experiment website where I’m trying to get a bunch of Forever Alone meme-nerds together and make out. It’s just a bunch of images though and no profiles so its success is hard to guarantee.

O_o… I’m… I’m sure I don’t know what you mean…

I was in no way trying to ensure the demise of the Fredholm Integral Equation, despite my best efforts.

Nosiree!

Was the process of being deadpooled painful?

Imagine your deepest secret – the one not even your subconscious knows. A secret so deep that if any part of you catches a whiff of it, it might perish. A secret so deep that exposed to the light of day could offset your whole balance.

Now imagine forgetting to tie your shoe and tripping over your shoelace, headfirst into that secret.

It was twice as bad.

Have you gone by another name here? And why is your title “This User Has Been Deadpooled”?

I don’t think I ever went by another name. I like “Austin.”

I got deadpooled when I made a fake article for “, Sistah” to annoy Memebase users into thinking anything I do makes sense.

I deadpooled him.

Sorry, you’ll have to go somewhere else. This isn’t TMA.

But I have to tell you. It’s a matter of great ornithological importance.

That’s because you haven’t given me a chance! Before I tell you what I need to tell you, I must ask, have you already seen, read, or heard about it? I’m sure it’s been on the news by now.

My answer is the exact opposite of what you expect it to be.

And how do you know that what I expected is not the exact opposite of what you expected me to expect?

No, Mister J, I didn’t really need to swallow that water I was drinking, my computer screen totally needed it more than I did.

It seems a large amount of the internet bashes Memebase for some reason. What do you think of that?

I was unaware, due to ignorance. I guess I think that a large amount of the internet bashes every other part of the internet, so I’m not concerned.

Everyone’s an Other to someone.

From your previous answer, are you referring to the sociological concept of “other” (in terms of group processes, specifically the theoretical mechanisms by which a person of the in-group cannot properly incorporate the understandings and values of the hypothetical “other,”) or are you referring to the basic, less structured sense in simply not being able to understand another’s point of view because the person at hand does not have the consciousness of the other/“is” not the other? (Hoping for the former. Please be the former.)

EDIT In reading the linked article, I can’t imagine an answer to my first question being anything more than redundant. My B, yo’.

Also, do you like sports? Which ones? Which teams? Which players?

Joogotit, man. The Other in that we form cliques based on little more than proximity and chance. That Memebase is really no different than Reddit or 4chan or funny junk in a lot of ways (Obviously there are differences but I hope you understand the meat of what I mean) other than where you choose to ally.

I don’t really know sports. I guess my favorite sport is curling? And something about Tebowing?
