Seriously, think about it, there are just so many of them, it’s a phenomenon!

Phones up Bungie

What does that mean? Is it some kind of weird British slang phrase, like blimey, or crumpet?

I lol’d.

No, Bungie as in the company, they are obsessed with the number seven.

In fact, 7/7 is Bungie day.

You know, they made the Halo series.

I dunno. Verbose is probably right in his belief the amount is probably quite a few, but it pales in comparison to the target audience.

I’m not an avid video-game player, so I had no idea.

Flame war? Pleeeease, I’m sure this site is better than the almightly flood forum (Which incidentally is a Bungie sub-forum!) where if you post a MLP thread, you’ll get a guaranteed hot topic, and most likely a flame war in 99% of ‘cases’.

7 is a running gag in the Halo series, evidently. I’ve never played it, so I’m not sure.

I’m surprised nobody has said ‘too many’ yet.

According to polls, there’s about 30,000 (I think). That doesn’t count those who watch the show but don’t participate in the community. You’ll probably find there are way more people in, say, the TF2 fandom.

I find that quite probable, although I’m certain the figure is really double that.

Alright, I’m going to end this silliness.

There have been several studies detailing the demographics and behaviours of the brony subculture. This study, which is very detailed but does not go into population statistics, received about 1300 responses, while another recieved over 9000 (literally). When googling the term “brony population,” Google gives an estimate of around 80, however it describes a village in Poland called Brony, and is therefore irrelevant.

Through personal experience, and gathering the very large amount of comments and forum posts made on sites throughout the internet, I will make an educated guess that there are approximately 10,000 to 200,000 bronies, self-identified as such or not.

And OP, did it not occur to you to ask this question in Pony General, where you might have gotten more educated responses from people who are well versed in the subject?

There are three beings on the internet: Jojujuhana, the God of Laughter, Knowledge, and Arial.
Then there’s Kekokogini, the God of Anger, Ignorance, and Comic Sans. Between them are their legions of Users and Trolls, respectively.

Then there’s you.

Seems like it would work.
Also, what’s the talk of this thread being derailed? It seems (mostly) on…railed… to me.

If you knew about the forum I come from, you’d know that I don’t call this derailment.

Seriously, this is just staying on topic, not straying away from everything!

IT’S OVER NINE HUNDDDREEEEEEDDDDD!

Equestria daily gets over 500,000 views per day. Does that mean each brony checked that site about 500 times daily? I’m a brony too and I have never been to the site so it wouldn’t include me.
