Reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes. No, wait, reminds me of Jimmy Neutron. No, wait, reminds me of Foxtrot. No, wait, reminds me of… Wow, there's an awful lot of kids doing rocketry in cartoons…
They're lucky that they didn't overestimate the thrust of their rocked and deorbit a satellite.

I read that as "Rockets can Launch Teenagers into Space" at first.

That sounds way more fun.
Good thing this happened in Canada; if this happened in the US people would be all up in arms about it just because the kids were Arabic.
Their not gonna get that lego man back… Unless it makes a creator and is completely obliterated from the atmosphere or from impact.
Oh, but they did, using a shitty homemade parachute.
Kids these days. Too much time on their hands.

What about the rocket itself?

They recovered a capsule which they had stocked with a GPS, a Camera, a Parachute, and the Lego figure. Somehow.
I mean, come on. Amateur stitching and cloth makes a parachute that can survive a fall from near orbit?
I believe it may be time for someone to say Wat?

No where in the article did it say they used a helium balloon, so it must have been a rocket.

The Internet is Serious Business.
Why can't they just launch a Mega Bloks man? Such a waste of Lego man…

Oh, I remember that story.

Nice! I remember an older story of another teenager making a nuclear reactor, with a book about it and everything (called The Radioactive Boy Scout). For some reason though, he didn't wear protective clothing and ended up getting cancer. :/

Call me back when rockets can launch teenagers into space. That would be cool.
…even though we'd asphyxiate.
