I find it odd how people hate this song, just because it's over used, when in reality, it's one of the best modern day songs ever composed.

Actually it's an OVA, but it was release in the US as a "movie" around 1999 or so.
I had it on tape, and I have it now on DVD.
It was my favorite movie growing up – even if it doesn't quite have the same charm now.
And even if it did have some "sex" references and whatnot:
