Ah you remember, its that i've always thought tripping out some some colorful neon horse would be a magical experience. I mean if it was possible, and you found yourself in ponyville, wouldn't you want to party with pinkie to the next level? Or get philosophical with twilight? Or chill with Fluttershy? Or get passed out drunk in the barn with applejack? Hypothetically speaking of course.

Anyway what was it like when you guy's first watched the show or heard of he fandom? I remember several months ago me and my brother Coldfront Detective Johnson spades jack sparrow Coldfront wanted to know more about the show and the fandom so we could troll it but our plan completely back fired and now both of us are bronies. At first we said "Lets just keep watching it so we can keep making fun of it." But by the time we got to episode 7 we were saying "Whose your favorite pony? Wait…we aren't bronies are we?……"

At first we didn't know how to handle this because we had became the thing we were supposed to troll. The we said "Okay fuck this lets just embrace it now"

And then this happend.

It was wonderful.

And then he was the bronies.
Some time later, I got around to watching the whole first season and was casually a brony all summer. Wasn't until a bit after the Season Intro that I started browsing KYM and all that jazz.

@ how i became a brony

I first saw the show when i walked by the tv when my sister was watching it November 2010, it was the Dragon shy episode. I was instantly hooked by the animation, But seeing that i did not know of the brony fandom or anything i thought it was weird that i found the show so cute and colorful. i backed off from it for some time until it sprang up on youtube a bunch of dj pon3 videos (im a huge fan of electro so seeing that im constantly on youtube searching electro up i came across dj pon3) i slowly picked up on my little pony across youtube but my sister found out… so i turned my pc around so no one can know i was watching my little pony (funny thing is that my mom was suspecting porn or something, if she knew at the time that i was really watching mlp…) After all that an old friend of mine started posting pony stuff on facebook and i had no idea why i found it so interesting. Until one day in august 2010 another friend of mine made a group on facebook called the National Brony Association (now the International Brony Association because it grew in size) He posted Ponies The Anthology and i watched it, i was instantly hooked onto my little pony and had to know more i joined the group, watched season 1 and there, i was a brony.

I know it was just a hypothetical question not meant to be taken to seriously, but let's over analyze this.
I am going to explain why it would be a bad idea to take drugs with Ze ponies! (the grouping of them isn't perfect, some could go in various groups, but for simplicity sake, bare with me! And don't take it too seriously, I'm just fucking around)
First off
hallucinogens: shrooms, LSD, salivia, etc.
Why would you need these? You just found yourself In ponyville! You might as well be tripping balls with all the pastel ponies talking and flying! Magic, dragons, monsters! That wouldn't be needed at all
Hard drugs: heroin, meth, Ketamine
No, just no…
stimulent drugs: cocaine, MDMA, Caffine
Sure, you could party hard and stay awake for a long ass time dancing and stuff. That's cool, but MDMA makes you horny as shit and cocaine seriously fucks you up. Do you want your memories with pinkie pie to include when you grinded on her and exposed yourself? No? Ok. Caffeine is fine.
Anabolic steriods:
Well, unless you are gonna be in ponyville for a couple months, there is no point. Shit takes time, excersize, and a huge diet. Not exactly a good time.

You said you've never done drugs, so why would you want to experiment while in a brand new world with all kinds of things to do? you would make an ass out of yourself. Everyone who drinks knows that their first times were very embarrassing and same with drugs I would imagine.
Hell, you might just get yourself killed. No matter what though, you are gonna make a terrible first impression. Instead of doing drugs, I would be flying on rainbowdash and looking at twilight do magic and all the other things that place has to offer.

I posted this before, but just to stay on topic…

I’ve started watching the show last year either June or July, I can’t remember exactly. I watched the first two episodes on youtube just to see what it was all about. I said to myself “Well, that was stupid. At least I never have to watch it again.” but for some reason, I don’t know why, I started watching more episodes on youtube. I was around 6 or 7 episodes in when I thought “Wait, why am I still watching this?” Then I found out there was 26 episodes (season 2 hadn’t aired yet), so I said to myself “Alright, I made it this far, I’ll watch all 26 episodes then I’ll never have to watch this show again!” I watched all the episodes and started over again at episode 1. I think that’s when I started calling myself a brony.

Drugs are all fun and games till big Mac finds you trying to get it on with applejack…
But to answer your question, at most I would have a couple drinks with rarity, smoke a doubie with rainbow, or mabye some MDMA with pinkie if she insisted. Nothing else.

Why in the world would you want them?
Maybe I'm wrong because I've never had the compulsion to use them, but I usually see drugs as a way for someone to escape the situation and world they find themselves in.
Most of us would want to be in Equestria, so who needs escapism once you're there?
I will admit that I think Xanaxshy is hilarious, though…

Found ponies right here on KYM while just browsing around randomly back in April 2011.
I came in right as the first epic pony war was reaching a head so there was a lot of attention that drew me in (flame wars, mods locking the image gallery, threats of total banishment).
I first fell in love with the incredibly smooth animation and simple but expressive designs.
Marathoned all 26 episodes of the first season over one weekend and have been hooked ever since.
I'll also add that Cupcakes was the first fanfiction I read based entirely on its infamy among the other KYM members here.
I didn't exactly like it, but it did get me to seek out better stories so the net result was positive for me.

Yeah, my point exactly. Still, you could use lesser "drugs" like alcohol, pot, or ecstasy to complement the good time youre having at a party or whatever, but that's not everyone's thing and like I said, why would you want to be experimenting in equestria?

I made the stupid mistake of subscribing to this tread, only to have my e-mail fill up with 40 notices about someone posting in here… i think it's best if i just come here check out the new stuff…

I've made my stance clear that Daring Do and Soarin' are best ponies. You've all made your stances clear that Twilight Sparkle or Fluttershy or Derpy or Hyrda is best pony, and I completely respect your opinions. But I don't understand why you people have all yet to see the light.

Going off the assumption that all their cider is not hard because, well, it's a show for kids, I don't know where you're going to find any drugs or alcohol, and I'm not sure why you would want them. My response isn't creative; drugs are for escaping a shitty situation or having more fun at a party or something like that, but being in Equestria is hardly a shitty situation and is something I'd totes McGoats want to be sober for.

Confirmed from SDCC from multiple sources, a season three song starring Spike and Twilight was debuted at the pony panel. We don't have an embed yet, but when we do it will appear in this post. Other things were hinted at during the panel, including:

A potential Octavia/Rarity duet
Fluttershy dragon (apparently the implication was that she turns into a dragon)
Trixie confirmed for season three

I am totally down for more Octavia screen time, but having her in a song with one of the mane 6? That'd be crazy-awesome. The Trixie thing was practically confirmed already, so that doesn't come as much of a surprise. I have no idea what this Fluttershy dragon business is all about though. Will she meet another dragon on a more personal level? Will she become a dragon for some reason? I must know! Okay, Fluttershy as a dragon sounds completely epic. The wait just got a whole lot harder.

Okay, so the Spike/Twilight duet is confirmed, at least. So is Twilight gasp possibly failing an exam!

But that was the one thing I though was highly likely in that list. I'm still going to say that I'm not expecting Octavia to talk, much less have a duet with Rarity. Fluttershy becoming a dragon, while entertaining, is pretty narrow, and I'm going to wait until we have evidence, same with Trixie.

Either way, I figured Spike would have more singing lines than just echoing Twilight, similar to Find A Pet. Regardless, it was pretty neat, and at least he got to sing some.

Better yet have it right here.


But seriously the animation looks so smooth now, and the music form the intro as well as the duet was incredible!

Season 3 INCOMING!

I just got back to the hotel and tossed this into the computer after fumbling with my phone charger for 10 minutes. Sadly my actual camera I used to record the panel lasted about 35 minutes, so I had to grab this portion with my cell. It's not the best quality on the planet, but a ton of people were recording, so hopefully we will see some more in the next few hours/days. You still get the idea!

A few clarifications on what was in the post earlier (I will upload the full panel tomorrow if no one jumps on it by then)

Most of the things in the earlier post were very "hint hint" style. The questions from the audience were not pre-screened at all, so naturally everyone asked about season three.

Trixie's return was "confirmed" with a "There will most likely be great and powerfulness" after someone asked if she would be returning.

There was a great section about Derpy. Someone asked if she would be receiving anymore speaking roles, and the response basically said Hasbro loves Derpy, they have her everywhere now, but she probably wont be able to roll with anything other than background shots. You guys scared the poor girl!

Octavia's section was a question about "Which background pony would you like to voice?". This eventually lead to a shoutout for Octavia, where Cathy Weseluck just out of nowhere busted out an awesome voice for her, with a hint that she could do a duet with Rarity.

Meghan reads Equestria Daily. Suddenly I'm even more insecure about my writing on this site! Please don't read this blurb Meghan, I'm totally doing it in 10 minutes in my hotel room!

They hyped Luna up, so we will probably be seeing more of her.

Tabitha's first panel was a huge success! And her voice is just as amazing in person as in the show.

I've been kind of expecting Trixie for a while now. EQD did an interview with Jayson before Season two where he strongly hinted that she would likely be back eventually, saying something like 'I think there is more to tell with her' or something like that.
