One can debate that yes. Hitler was most likely though killed by his own foolishness and sense of warfare in fact. He refused to adopt potentially war-winning weapons that were developed in his programs (Me-262 (jet-powered fighter) ; MP-43 (revived towards the end of the war as the StG-44)) and that cost him the war. Bolt action Kar’s, the Gewher 43 and the MP-40 were not as effective as the M3 Grease Gun, the PPSh-41, the M1 Garand or the Browning Automatic Rifle used by the Allies. However, the MG-42 was a very deadly weapon of its era, feared by all. It didn’t win the war, however.
As for battlefield dickishness, another quote of Sun Tzu related to try to conquer the enemy before battle and not seek to destroy entirely.
