Kingdom Hearts now needs a Star Wars world. Lightsaber Keyblade is a must.

From this day on, I will refuse to believe that anything that happens in the Star Wars franchise is has any canonical significance within the Star Wars universe.

It ends at 1313.

Apparently they also bought Indiana Jones.

I dunno…

the Avengers was made with and promoted by Disney…

But this is not written by Lucas…which actually may be a good or bad thing.

The Mandalorian says that we should wait and see who’s writing and what the story’s going to be about.

Mmph. Okay, rage done, my actual two cents.
See, I wouldn’t really mind so much if not for the fact Lucas said they’re done making movies. Disney can make decent live action films. I heard The Avengers wasn’t horrible.
But the films were supposed to be done. Episode III was supposed to be the final one to be released, and most people were fine with that. We don’t need a seventh movie.
sigh
Dammit, Disney.

Why must you touch all that is good and sacred with your cancer, Disney?

I’m a bit afraid to see how it turns out.
But I loved The Avengers, so…

I have to say, The Avengers wasn’t half bad.

This on the other hoof…, and yes, Citiation does have a point in the films ending with III. I guess this is a wait and see situation for me.

When I first found out, I thought it was just a joke.

However when I checked the news… BBC news for good measure…

Nah, not really, I just laughed.

(also, Ninja edit)

I hope George Lucas knows what he’s doing. Otherwise, I’ll have to beat him with a butter-filled sock.

Didn’t we already see this?

I felt a great disturbance in the force

As if millions of Star Wars nerds cried out at once….and were silenced.

You’re implying recent Star Wars content was good before they were bought out by Disney.

Marvel is still Marvel, despite being bought out by Disney. For now.

Wow… didn’t see that one coming. The fact that George isn’t writing it is a step in the right direction, though.

I don’t even know.
Should I be happy or sad?
Should I be in denial or trust?
Is this the real life?
Or is this just fantasy?

So what are you guys talking about?

Oh, Mesa cannot wait to return in new movie.
(I really hope they do not bring back Jar Jar or create a character like him)

Jar Jar wasn’t that bad…and I’m saying that because even though he was a bad character he has become a memetic punching bag and it’s not like he had too much screentime or was as annoying as he possibly could have been.

The reason I’m bringing that up is because with Disney at the helm you can expect far worse.
The Phantom Menace was an actual attempt at making art. Ep 7 is a cash in sequel. They will not be trying to make a legitimate money, they’ll try to make money, and Disney will do something gimmicky.

I could be wrong, but at the end of this, people will probably gravitate around The Phantom Menace and appreciate it because as much as everyone has bagged on The Phantom Menace, Ep 7 will look all the prequels look great (Ep 2 included) and people will see the original 6 as canon and the new 3 as WTF

Also, when you consider that there already is a sequel canon, and it’s terrible, you’ll have to realize that we’re in for deep shit.

For me, Jar Jar Binks was a terrible character in the movies, especially the Phantom Menace, he was created merely for comic relief. Star wars films for me are serious films with witty humor, Jar Jar’s style of slap stick was funny at first but it quickly became annoying as the movie progressed. I will admit that the changes to his character in the later films made him a better character especially in the cartoons, but that still does not redeem fact that he was annoying. But then again George Lucas has made some terrible movies like Howard the Duck

and The Star Wars Christmas Special which is so bad even George Lucas is ashamed of it, that says allot.

Maybe it is a good thing that Disney took Star Wars away from George Lucas because he has the tendency of making terrible films, and he fiddles way to much with the movies that he made, Han Shot first and we all know it.

Just saw this on Russia Today.

The Walt Disney Co. has announced that it bought Lucasfilm Ltd. and is set to film a new ‘Star Wars’ trilogy, AP reports. Disney bought the company from its owner, legendary director George Lucas, for US$4.05 billion. The seventh part of the timeless saga, with a working title of “Episode 7,” is set to hit the screens in 2015. It will be followed by Episodes 8 and 9. The trilogy will continue the story of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia beyond “Return of the Jedi,” the sixth episode. Lucas will serve as a creative consultant in the new movies. “I’m doing this so that the films will have a longer life,” Lucas said in an interview posted on YouTube. “I get to be a fan now … I sort of look forward to it. It’s a lot more fun actually, than actually having to go out into the mud and snow.”

So yes, Lucas is still on board. Even with new producers, you still can’t get rid of George Lucas.

It’s apparently set after return of the Jedi, making it part of a sequel trilogy.
