The KYM culture survey

We haven’t done one of these in months.

Anyway, I was trying to be serious this time, but it was kind of impossible. So some of these questions are serious and some are just jokes. I also took some of the questions from other surveys that I found…lying around.

Here’s the new survey with just as much Canberra as previous surveys, +10% more seriousness, +20% more Juche, +30% more Croatia, +10% more BSD, +20% coolness, and +30% more Tentacle Grape.

That was one of the best surveys I’ve actually had the pleasure of filling out in years.

Here is another survey. I call it the “le survey”.

We need to see the results in spreadsheet form. Lots of the typed in answers can’t be seen.

10/10

Submitted. My notes as follows

  • Had to google the alignment question to understand that. I figured it out though. Did not need to google Canberra
  • LOL at people listing Gabe as a game developer. He’s the CEO of the game developer, he’s not the game developer himself
  • State of Mind made it into the list of favorite Musicians. AWWWW YEA
  • I like how often Batman appears as the best superhero
  • Some of the responses to the pirate and alien question are absolutely freaking hilarious
  • “Maozilla Firefox”. The Chairman approves
  • Lack of drinkers disturbs me
  • Seeing Picard lead the polls gives me more faith in humanity
  • People don’t know where Canberra is, I am disappoint

Overall, most lolworthy poll yet. 10/10 would answer again

Dem typed responses.
That was a very good survey. I like my surveys with a little bit of non-seriousness.

The typed responses made my day so much better.

Maozilla firefox made me cringe :(

I’ve been using firefox since I first got my own computer.

Edit:
Just read the results. So many people trolling!
Examples:
-Nickleback.

Also, we can’t see all of the answers for written questions, the […] doesn’t work (at least not for me).

Well that was interesting. I wish I could see all of the written answers. That’s where the real fun is.

Dec 14, 2012 at 01:47AM EST

Spreadsheet form would be excellent or compiled summaries. Google is alright when it comes to pie and bar charts, but you generally need to organized open-ended responses.

But wow, that’s a solid survey. I’d generally leave an option where a person can choose not to respond to more serious questions, but don’t let that take anything away from it.

I’m sorry. I don’t know what you’re talking about, Real Genius.

EDIT: Also, I actually meant to answer that I pronounce it as peanut butter.

Some other random Filipino-Canadian guy who just happens to be an agnostic atheist. The world is a huge place, y’know?

Sweet! Someone’s favorite game is Beyond Good and Evil! I’m playing through Final Fantasy VII right now, but I need to finish Beyond Good and Evil at some point. It took forever to get through the first “dungeon” what with all of the stealth walking, but I never got bored with it.

I can’t wait to finish and to see a sequel.

Dec 14, 2012 at 12:26PM EST

I laughed a bit too hard when completing the survey and reading the results…

Crap, forgot than Canberra is in Australia, whoops.

But seriously, the only question that I thought was hard was do I like Kirk or do I like Picard.

…My answers to this may not be accurate – Some questions are completely irrelevant to me. And some answers aren’t even serious.

Here’s some of the explanations

>Google+
I put “Yes”, but that’s because of Youtube related stuff.

For the PC/Console stuff, I chose PC because I use a PC a lot more. I have no particular aversion to console games.

For Coke or Pepsi I opted for Coke but only because it forced me to pick one. I like both and they taste exactly the same to me!

I assumed game-related music didn’t count for favourite music/band. Otherwise I would have put Doomsday Zone’s BGM.

My name ALONE should tell you what I put for favourite TV show.

I opted for the “Not interested” option when it came to THAT show. It’s the vocal part of that fanbase that warrants all the hate, and we all know it.

I can’t pick a favourite movie. I like how Inception was picked at least twice, though.

Superhero? SO. MUCH. BATMAN. (I am technically one of those – I put The Goddamn Batman as my answer.)

Don’t reallly know what the most overrated thing EVER would be.

Swearing?
>implying I do.

I… don’t really care for british historical figures.

The non-british historical figure was no question though. He was the one who took that one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind, and is deserving of all our respect forever.

Don’t have a favourite country. (I lol’d at MURICA, though.)

In my answer to favourite city I explained why.
Sparta. You know what meme goes here.

I have no idea what that site stuff is about, but I don’t touch alcohol. Bacon wins forever.

Giorgio is totally an alien. Why else would he be obsessed with them? Also
>John Madden
Ha! or, should I say, aeiou?

I don’t approve of drugs personally.

Something seemed familiar about the next questio, but… I couldn’t make sense of it.

That “TSA” thing and “greatest threat to the human race” thing are irrelevant questions to me.

I did not pick either pirate or ninja. Checkmate.

The LHC was NEVER going to destroy the world.

I am part of the Windows master race. (Anyone who uses Windows 8 on a PC or laptop is not part of that master race, because they use an OS that is not designed for the hardware they’re using it on.)

You spelled Mozilla Firefox wrong.

I don’t play TF2.

And my avatar should tell you my answer to that next que-pichuun

I do not touch alcohol, let alone drink it!

Croatia’s just a country to me.

Never heard of Canberra.

Dafuq is alignment.

I mainly use Yahoo News (or, occasionally, KYM) for news.

I do not care for that next question, so I picked the joke answer.

HL3 forever delayed.

>implying I care about iTunes

I don’t really have a favourite meme.
Also
>CAMOAWAM
why.jpg

I don’t have a favourite website.

It was me! I put Beyond Good and Evil there! :D

I avoided putting TF2 (a game of which I play EVERY day) because it appears later in the survey.

Also, I was considering putting Final Fantasy IX there too. FF9 is such a great game.

If anyone noticed “Wargaming.net” as a new favorite website answer, yeah. That was me.

Along with “Fortune Hunter” for “Pirate or Ninja?”, yeah, that was me, too. And “F-Zero X” for favorite game, “Pandemic Studios” for favorite developer, and “Red Tails” for favorite movie.

See if you can tell which other answers were selected by yours truly.

It’s Row 64 on the spreadsheet if anyone wants to find them.
