He was a great soldier and a great Senator. Inouye was well known for his career supporting civil rights.

Unfortunately now, Patrick Leahy (D-VT) takes over. Why is this a bad thing? Cause he is the brain behind the Protect IP act, the sibling of Sopa.
Still, RIP to Inouye

The thing about Leahy is that besides PIPA, Leahy's a great guy. But yeah, Leahy made PIPA and that's bad.
Anyway, Leahy's getting sworn as President pro tempore today and this is likely the person that will get Inouye's senate seat. Colleen Hanabusa
As far as the political ranks go, she's next in the pecking order. Besides, Inouye sent a letter recommending her to Gov. Abercrombie as a successor.
What? I don't hear a damn thing about this, but when Hostess is threatened with bankruptcy the whole world has to know.
Didn't anyone hear how badass this guy was? Read this: http://badassoftheweek.com/inouye.html
Not just a great soldier. He's like Master Chief incarnate!
