That would have been an interesting derailment. At least the Blue Screen/Fifths ship would have some anchor babies to it. All that non-sexual jacking off must have done something.

Also, have a parody logo I made to celebrate the Tigers in the ALCS and I made as a cover image of a fanfic I’ll never actually write.

Good day, mentlegen. It is time to inject chalk into your eyes. I have to post this quickly, since I have to get to my Octogrefest Shrek watching party with the CMUBrogres soon. Today we drew Fancy Pants (and his lack of pants) and Fleur de Lis (and her complex hair). For some reason the Fancy Pants team took forever, but I was drawing Fleur and did a rather smashing job.

Once again we had some random families stop by to help us (as you can see in the pictures). The kids did a good competent job, so much so that I went over afterwards and did it more thoroughly. We also had several adults come up and ask if we were bronies, since their kids were as well. I always love it when that happens.

Also, our club got its shipment of Twilight 4de plushies. I already have one, but brought it to club anyways. I remember a discussion on here a while back about there being no good official show quality plushies. The club begs to differ. Us plush-owning master race members even went out to dinner with them and were told they were cute by various entities.

If you’ll notice, we only had 5 people at that table but 6 drinks. The waitress also brought an extra fortune cookie. I guess she was accommodating for the plushies.

Also, as you may be able to tell by our chalking vector choice this time around, we’re running low on good (or rather, unique) vectors until the new season. Soon we may do captain Spitfire and Cadence, but otherwise if you guys have any show characters you’d like to see chalked, PM a vector to me and it very well may happen.

…I feel so Luna right now…

Oh god this sounds way too depressing and I’m pretty sure this isn’t supposed to be a place to vent feelings.

Just pretend all I posted here was this picture:

(Before you ask, yes, my plushie is a Fennekin… Gotten from Game Stop’s Australian Cousin.)
(And since we’re now on Pokemon again… My final word on that topic is that Fennekin’s Evolutions are Wizards/Witches. They have a branch they use as a Wand for their attacks and they cast psychic and fire abilities out of it and everything. They even have the robe thing going on.)

@That Bat Pony picture: I’ve seen that picture something like 2 or 3 times now, and every time I see it I keep thinking it’s Rayman petting Silver Spoon, which I would’ve found more interesting, you don’t normally see her getting a lot of love (for admittedly obvious reasons) while I really don’t like Bat Ponies for the same reason as Luna.
Actually, I have something I have to admit… Remember my huge rant against the “Dark Is Not Evil” trope from a few pages ago?
Well, recently I’ve been playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution and looking up the original game.
Thing is, I also read up on both on TV Tropes, and they listed “Dark Is Not Evil” for the protagonists of both games… And I can’t argue with it either…
My face when:

Am I a hypocritical twat?

To make up for that, have some Baby Twilight (and friends)! Since someone brought it up I hope it’s relevant (I don’t want this to just be a random crappy post)…

@Platus Indeed, until they release the rest of the mane characters and Rarity. Then we’ll REALLY have one populous dinner.

@Kewlb00b I guess I was the only not white person, but the focus was probably more on the purple ones. There was a homeless man/axe murderer who was walking down the street towards us, but we all had our plushies in our hands/pockets/strapped to our chests, so he went to the other side of the street for his own safety.

@xTSGx Nobody that had the app could get a good shot of it to perspective shift. I may try again today, however. The app is called CamScanner, it’s free and is supposed to be used for documents but we can use it for horses.

Actually isn’t a bone

But seriously. I know that feel of having absolutely no social life and spending my entire day on the internet. I start getting depressed thinking about it, but then I remember how horribly anti-social I am and how interacting with people makes me nervous and it makes me kind of glad I don’t have any social interactions.

@Background ponies
Didn’t /mlp/ tell you guys? This is The Twilight Sparkle Show now. All characters who are not pretty pink/purple princess pony pegacorns will be relegated to background status and given one or two lines each episode (to ensure their toys keep on selling) while the immortal god empress Twilight Sparkle uses her supermagic to instantly defeat all foes, and Cadance uses her mindrape magic to end all conflict. The remainder of the episodes will be tea parties, fashion shows (without Rarity, because we have to give Candace more screen time), and Twilight’s dates with Flash Sentry.

It’s funny because recently Rarity just didn’t have any episodes but stole the spotlight in other pony’s episodes whereas when Applejack was in the background, she was just in the background becoming the first ‘main background pony’.

TL;DR: If you want a pony war I’ll give you a damn pony war!

Ok sorry to be a party pooper but i just have to talk about this. karma rape me for all you wish, i don’t care.

I think the brony wholly became prevented and with each day it’s becoming more sexually obsessed. from what i have witnessed at least 80% of the fandom are now full cloppers.

it’s not just that the community is overflowing with smut – more than any other – but it’s the entire attitude that changed.

the cute and innocent characters of the show are portrayed as sexual objects,
everyone talks how they want to have fuck their ’waifu’s
every single snapshot of their butts oh, i mean “PLOT” (it used to be a joke…) has people drooling over them.

if someone is skeptic about my claim here is a little proof, although the site is full of them:

http://knowyourmeme.com/photos/623252-my-little-pony-friendship-is-magic

A seeming cute and innocent picture but the comment section is full of just “SO SEXY” crap.
if you want more proof, just go to derpibooru or deviantart and see what are the most upvoted pictures…

don’t say ‘its just like every fandom’. no, it’s not. there is much less smut and sexual obsession. go to the avatar gallery, how much NSFW pics you see? barely, MLP gallery has an unfathomable amount.
i once seen some rule 34 statistics, other popular shows like avatar or AT and even adult shows like futurama have relatively little content, while MLP is on the top of the list.

so ironically, the bronies, who are fans of one of the cutest, innocent and charming shows have turned up to be the most perverted fandoms on the internet.
with this stuff being more and more unavoidable with every passing day, i find the situation to be very, very sad and even a bit depressing.

i know it’s a silly question, but is there hope?

@Jolly Jew

Yes, it is a silly question. And let me tell you why its silly.

You’re acting like porn is a bad thing. You’re acting like perversion is a bad thing. you’re acting like having unique and generally harmless emotions or a very creative emotion, to the point “Creative” is in its name, is a bad thing. You’re acting like being human and having human emotions is a bad thing. You’re acting like Love itself, or even the coping mechanisms for a lack of Love, may as well be a bad thing.

It’s silly. It’s pointless, and it reaks of 10,000 years of repression of the very things that make people individuals. And the idea that people have to be less perverted, when “perversion” as a concept of “caring too much about sex” is really just “slut shaming”.

In a day and age where we realize that women have an entire organ in their reproductive system devoted to nothing but pleasure so the act of sex, which is necessary for their survival as a species, will be a thing they want to do… Being so Neurotic or depressed about it is just pointless.

Because here’s the absolute fact…

…Sex is actually more innocent than you think, it’s cuter than you think, and it’s more charming than you think.

…And among two consenting adults, sex gets two people emotionally closer to each other. And done enough times leads to Love and Friendship. Two of the most Innocent, Cute and Charming things out there.

And in the grand scheme of things, nobody cares one way or the other. As it should be. Because as always, its ignorable, and under most circumstances, non essential.

So I’m Sorry… But…

Have you ever stopped to wonder why nobody seems to care except you?

Hint: raving alarmists who won’t shut up about the coming apocalypse never asked themselves that question either.

if someone is skeptic about my claim here is a little proof

No need to prove it. We already know. This fandom has always contained cloppers from the very beginning and we all know that. I think the only thing that changes is your growing obsession with cloppers

If other people fap to imaginary cartoon horses, that’s their business. You really should stop concerning yourself over them. Bring back the Jolly Jew that used to post horses in lingerie please.

don’t say ‘its just like every fandom’

It’s just like every fandom.

80% of the Glee fandom is obsessed with erotic shipping between the show characters and thats for an innocent family friendly high school drama/comedy singing show that airs on the Fox channel. I know that because my friend is a Gleek who’s only dedication to the show is writing homoerotic novels

You really think 80% of this fandom wanting to cum inside Rainbow Dash is out of the ordinary?

I’m sorry but this is the truth about humanity. Human beings are far more sexually curious than they let on and will explore it with anything, especially fiction because that’s totally harmless. If you think human beings have not been doing this in every other fandom, you have definitely not explored those fandoms

so ironically, the bronies, who are fans of one of the cutest, innocent and charming shows have turned up to be the most perverted fandoms on the internet.

What did you expect? That a bunch of 20-something straight males would act like anything less than 20-something straight males?

with this stuff being more and more unavoidable with every passing day, i find the situation to be very, very sad and even a bit depressing.

A depression situation should be losing a loved one, or having all your property stolen, or being cheated on by a lover or going bankrupt; those are truly depressing matters. But seeing people crack perverted jokes on the internet is not. It’s not healthy to let that bother you

Remember, never take anything on the internet seriously. The people on here are just joking or trying to fuck with you and there’s nothing you can do to change that.
You ask if “is there hope?” I’m interpreting that to mean “is there hope of getting rid of cloppers/sexualization/everything not pure white about the fandom.”
The truth is, no, no there isn’t. You saw our proof in the previous few posts, everyone sexualizes their fandom just like us. We have no responsibility to keep anything clean enough for your liking and we shouldn’t have to. There’s nothing wrong with liking pony (or any fandom’s) porn and there’s nothing anyone could do to change the nature of fandoms to exclude porn.
This particular topic has seemed to obsess you for the past few months, and that’s something unhealthy. Worrying about and trying to change something that can’t be changed will only stress you out and frustrate you. I suggest you go find something, anything else to do with you life than worry over people masturbaring to pictures of ponies.

@Jolly Jew/Lunar and BSoD

You’re both representing views which are on the extreme ends on how this ought to be looked at.

JJ: It’s a free country. If you don’t like what the brony fandom is doing, go hang out somewhere else. That’s what I do whenever KYM starts getting a little too disgusting for my tastes: I either ask them to take it somewhere else or I go somewhere else. I don’t come on here whining like a little bitch about what some perfectly harmless members of society are doing with their free time.

Edit: Also, as Connor wisely mentioned, most of the sexualization is tongue-in-cheek. I’ve thrown tons of dirty BSoD pics together and I’ve met to masturbate to one of them (I’m saving myself for the real thing. Love you Blue.)

BSoD/Lunar: You need to not be so deluded to think that the sexualization in the fandom is really normal or advisable. Despite what it likes to say about itself, the fandom does tend to attract a specific sort of neurotic. I’ve been to a bronycon, I know these people! The type I’m thinking of is not exactly a bad person, but I refuse to dismiss that awkward, pasty figure wearing the unironic “Fluttershy is my waifu” shirt as normal in the same way that I refuse to call obesity an equally valid lifestyle choice: You’re not hurting anyone so we’ll leave you alone, but you look disgusting and would probably be happier if you managed to wean yourself off that bad behavior.

So while I won’t go so far as to say that clopping or some of the other shit bronies get up to is morally wrong, I maintain that it’s definitely not normal, and perhaps indicative of an unhealthy psyche. Also it’s gross.

And the various people I know that have any professional knowledge of the Human Psyche pretty much assert that we’ve all got some unhealthy part of our psyche anyways… But that it’s near impossible to fix those damaged parts, only medicate anything problematic and untangle problematic behavior.

The vast majority of things are closer to coping mechanisms for underlying emotional damage. Which, is permanent and inexorable.

If one were to get someone to give up their little autotherapy because it’s “abnormal”, they’d still have an emotional need to do something to cope with the feelings buried deep inside. So all that would happen would be shifting the method from one method to another.

And if you think about it, there’s worse ways to deal with things like loneliness than having unusual porn. Said “worse ways” may include but may not be limited to getting a thousand black cats and devoting every waking hour to tending to their needs as their Matriarch… All while fantasizing about being a witch.

Oh Wait, that’s basically me! If I had any cats up here that is.

… I need a cat.

Yeah well, normality is an illusion. Just take a look at any given person’s private thoughts, you’ll find plenty of abnormalities. Heh, I figure the “normal person” is a piece of modern mythology, a legendary creature that never existed.

If you ask me, most “normal” people are the ones with the unhealthy psyche. They just go with the flow without questioning anything, fearful of appearing different from the mass. And even when they inevitably rebel against this oppression, they do so only through socially acceptable methods. Of course, they’re advertised as “non-conformist” and “anti-establishment”, but they’re all carefully designed to be profitable for the higher-ups and to act as a distraction for the potential troublemakers, keeping them from doing any real rebelling.

For example, sexuality and the exploration thereof, is one of these methods. We’re all taught from a young age that sex is something for the grown-ups, at best, or that it’s something evil to stay away from, at worst. But, as we all know, that just makes it all the more tempting, doesn’t it? And unlike in ages past, there is an entire industry ready to cater to your desires, even though you barely know what they are. You see where the paradox in this lies, yes? Society frowns upon blatant pornography, yet mass-produces the stuff.

So how’d this kind of mess come about, you ask? Well, ironically enough, this chain of events began in the Victorian era. It was in those repressed days that many discovered the profits to be had in catering to people’s bawdier desires. Consequently, the people in power discovered that people who obsess over sex were far less of a threat to social stability than, say, people who obsess over gunpowder.

From then on, sexuality has become gradually more “liberated” until it arguably peaked during the so-called “sexual revolution” of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Not much has changed in the decades since, and several powerful industries and organizations are happy to keep it that way.

So, in the end, whether be ye righteous or be ye wicked, you play right into their hands. The game was rigged from the very beginning.

@Fifths

You need to not be so deluded to think that the sexualization in the fandom is really normal or advisable.

Well, I wouldn’t say ‘Advisable’. No. In fact I didn’t.

But yea, I’d definitely say normal. Based on my understanding and experience with humanity in general and how it treats everything you can be a fan for: there are no real rules or boundaries on sexual interest/application. Literally anything that garners attention seems to be fair game. What makes those interests ‘gross’ is entirely subjective and is controlled by cultural standards rather than natural ones. You just don’t hear about them except on the deep internet (and for good reason)

That’s not to say that this effect is taking hold across the whole fandom as what is being claimed here. Lets see some actual statistics on that one. Nor is this to say that everything has to be involved with it, regardless of how normal it may be for humans to sexualize stuff

The real question being asked here is “is it worth panicking about?”

I refuse to dismiss that awkward, pasty figure wearing the unironic “Fluttershy is my waifu” shirt as normal in the same way that I refuse to call obesity an equally valid lifestyle choice:

Oh, the neckbeards? No I wouldn’t defend their existence either, but I wasn’t talking about those guys, let alone defending them. I’m talking about something on a much, much bigger scale here: human nature

So while I won’t go so far as to say that clopping or some of the other shit bronies get up to is morally wrong, I maintain that it’s definitely not normal, and perhaps indicative of an unhealthy psyche.

I maintain that it is considerably normal for people to fap towards that which they grow romantic and affectionate feelings for, which can include fictional horse characters so long as it comes with a personality that feelings can be attached towards AND/OR simply possesses the bare minimum details required to provoke sexual response (such as the right curves and facial expressions regardless of overall form. Instinct doesn’t require specifics). At best this indicates a lack of superficialness, and the worst this can indicate is loneliness, sexual frustration or a lack of anything better to fap towards,

Well, if you’re going to acknowledge there are human practices which are undesirable for their own sake, then we already have a fair bit of common ground. That ‘self-medication’ is the best balm may be a point of disagreement between us. Glutting your appetites tends to make them come back even stronger than before.

@Brownmane

Oh come on, do you realize how silly you sound?

@BSoD

Oh, that’s terrible logic dude. You’ve created a self-sealed argument, a thesis that the evidence can only affirm, that nothing can possibly disprove. When scores of people come forward with counter-evidence to you and claim they don’t have perverted sexual thoughts, you’re just going to discount them as lying. These arguments are useless: Case and point, a crazy person could claim that everyone in the world is a CIA agent out to get them and when everyone in the world tries to tell that person that they are NOT in fact a CIA agent out to get them, the crazy person’s belief is not assuaged because clearly that’s just what the CIA agents want her to believe.

Your belief that human nature in general allows humans to displace sexual feelings to whatever is entirely based on the evidence presented by a minority of internet weirdos who are called weirdos for a reason: Because they don’t conform to standard human behavior. To extrapolate from them to human nature generally is entirely unjustified.

From personal experience, there are plenty of things which I’m affectionate towards and which ‘have all the right curves’ that I couldn’t even imagine being attracted towards. I know I’m just one person and that doesn’t make an argument towards human nature generally, but this picture of humanity you’re painting strikes me as entirely absurd.

Clopping’s far too late for me to be affected by it psychologically.

First off, there is no such thing as normal. Everything will bother somebody somehow, no matter how “justified” or “right” it is.

Second… gross? So is using the bathroom everyday, but you don’t see me thinking twice about doing it. Who cares what you get off to? If it pleases you, then of course you’ll be looking for MLP R34 much more often.

Third, morally wrong. Saying you clopping to sentient equines is wrong is like saying doing the same for anthros, Nekos, or other nonhuman creatures is wrong. Heck, why don’t you say that fapping is wrong, period? Because it isn’t. It’s completely normal for people to relieve stress or get pleasure from it.

But if you think that it is gross or unhealthy or not normal, so be it. I would just like you to not call people out on it for doing so.

Welcome back to ponythread, brotherjackdude!

We all understand that there is a large perverted side of the fandom. Ask yourself, though, is there a large perverted side of every fandom? Yes there is. It’s called Rule 34. And if you can’t accept that, just move on with your life. Simple as that.

No, I don’t, actually. I am feeling a little under the weather, though, so excuse me if my feverish ramblings don’t make enough sense to you.

What I did was attempt to describe a little something called repressive desublimation. I guess I just lack the literary genius to do that, though.

I like that word. It describes an interesting thing. I’m stealing it.
