One week, 100,000 votes needed.

The internet is doomed!

You can make a Whitehouse.gov petitions for nearly anything. Checking Google will tell you there’s nothing in the media about a new SOPA bill for 2014.

The entire thing is fake, someone just randomly created a Whitehouse.gov petition for it, and everyone fell for it because nobody checks for sources.

False alarm!

Everything is back to normal.
Jimmies remain unrustled.
Everyone is at peace.

If that’s true, then we can all chill out, right?

I knew this was awfully fishy. I was thinking that there was no way in which this was possible. They couldn’t even regulate that if it was real. “The internet always finds a way”, to misquote Jurassic Park.

This may be a false alarm, but don’t sigh for a relief just yet. The government will most likely try to pass a new bill in the near future..
