Found this during a slow day on Fox News.

So apparently, this little campaign I just noticed got launched. Besides the video being so fucking basic, the reaction to it has been less then kind.

But since this far to droll of a thing to talk about, lets talk about something else that this brings up. Republicans and the internet. It seems that every time a republican does something on the internet, it back fires.

Horribly.

Also, because politics, here is a secondary video for your interests if you ever feel frustrated with your fellow friends here on KYM. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygr5AHufBN4

wow what a revelation

My two cents would be this: the internet is accessible to people all over the developed world. The rest of the developed world tends to be left-leaning compared to the American public. Since US politics are constantly in the spotlight on major sites like Facebook, Youtube etc., this results in a lot of liberally inclined people giving their opinions.

Also, the Republican Party has a pretty dismal track record on science. Outside of perhaps Tony Abbott, climate change isn't controversial in the rest of the world, thus why Republicans are constantly dogpiled for being supposedly anti-science. Keep in mind that bad science is extremely easy to make fun of, due to the fact that there's a clearly defined 'correct' and 'incorrect' when it comes to science, negating the usual subjectivity and grey areas around political issues.

EDIT: Oh, and foreign policy plays a pretty big role too. My father is constantly telling everyone how much he hates our Prime Minister (John Key) for "striking a deal with the devil" (Barack Obama), due to Obama's perceived hawkishness. This is not helped by the fact that the Republicans are seen as even more hawkish.
Stuff like this pisses off a lot of foreigners, and gives the internet community a lot of material to mock.
