I ran across her videos just an hour ago and I apologize if there is already a topic about her.
It seems as though TONS of “otaku” hate her, but she’s very popular in japan and on Nico nico douga.


She’s appeared on many talk shows and specials.
My question though is what do you guys here think of her?
All she did was upload a dance. She didn’t ask to become famous in japan. Why do so many “otaku” hate her? She doesn’t to seem to have known any Japanese before this. Do they hate her just because she cant pronounce Japanese? And why should the other weeaboo’s care? It’s not their first language.

It’s probably a similar reaction to when 4channers see someone who has ‘stolen’ something from 4chan and get angry. It’s a part of culture that they feel is exclusive and someone else shouldn’t get recognized or find out something that they feel is something that is theirs.

Interesting… she has the same appeal as Magibon.
I could understand why so many otakus would hate her, possibly because she became internet famous from one video :P

they compare her to ****** ****** and say she has no talent at all. I agree that she’s not the best singer, but she’s certainly not the worst. I myself am happy for her and don’t see why every one should be complaining like they are. Take a look at some of the messages on her youtube videos

Along with her dvd release, she brought Nico nico memes. It’s interesting that she’s gone mainstream.
She needs to do more dancing in her videos though.

She’s done other dances from anime. she does them well though.
However, there’s something about this where you love to hear what people say they hate about her.
