According to the comments:

M. Night Shyamalan (or whatever) has raped one of my favorite shows when I was younger.

I still want to see how bad it is.

Is it like the Movie movies? Scary Movie, Disaster Movie, Epic Movie etc?

Jul 03, 2010 at 02:47PM EDT

What? A satire?

No, It’s actually supposed to be a serious 3-D film remake of the animated series.

Is this movie so fail, that it could spawn memes?

Jul 03, 2010 at 04:50PM EDT

I loved that series, I’m not going to pain myself with the movie.

@ SweatieKiller

Dragonball Evolution didn’t, so we’ll have to see what’s gonna happen.

It’s a live-action movie of an anime. What do you expect?

Jul 04, 2010 at 05:08AM EDT

Lol, I watched the Rotten Tomatoes review on CurrentTV. The score was 7% instead of 8%

M. Night just raped my favorite japanese anime knock off TV shows

Jul 04, 2010 at 01:32PM EDT

I think we all should have expected it. I thought it would be hard to turn that huge series into 1 1/2 hours. If I understand, it is basically a compressed version of the series, right?

Jul 04, 2010 at 01:39PM EDT

What mood is it? A more humorous mood or a more serious mood?

Jul 04, 2010 at 02:38PM EDT

It was a serious dark mood. Much like Robin Hood.

Jul 04, 2010 at 04:17PM EDT

well, death-note was a good live action adaptation. so you can make a good adaptation.

‘Call M. Night Shyamalan a Wood Bender -- this kiddie cast is as flat and stiff as particle board’ nuff said?

I saw it today and I didn’t think it was that bad. It would be hard to understand if you had never seen the show so there’s most of the low score. Then there are the people who obsess over the show and don’t like it when everything isn’t “just like the cartoon” There’s the other bunch of the low score.

since I enjoyed the show, I was disappointing that the fire nation wasn’t Chinese, but a bunch of night look a likes. I quickly got over it though. The story was really fast, but you have to realize they are putting a whole season into one movie. The one thing I could not get over was the fire lord big ol fat face! >:U

Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing it again. And I have to admit. I love love LOVE the cartoon. I dont think it’s as bad as every one is making it out to be. :/ I want to see what they do with the next 3 movies. Maybe they will learn from their mistakes.

I do miss sassy sokka and fat happy iro though.

OR MAYBE I’m so use to watching crap on MST3K and cheesy 80’s cartoons that this movie had no effect on me!

It’s like why I keep watching the new yugioh. I keep thinking something good will actually happen but it never does.

I hated the movie. It was totally inaccurate.

Jul 06, 2010 at 04:30PM EDT

Another reason why the movie sucked…

It seems that Katara was… … just too creepy.

Jul 08, 2010 at 03:32AM EDT

Okay. I’m watching the episodes over again… and yeah, the movie sucked. :c
I went in with no expectations was all.
I forgot how much I loved sokka! D:

It’s almost like they found the girl based off that creepy katara picture.

Not sure if want.

Jul 08, 2010 at 03:43AM EDT

This would have done better as a movie trilogy, or maybe a 4oh-gy.

Jul 08, 2010 at 12:56PM EDT

@Sweatie, it is going to be a trilogy, if this movie get make its way out of the dust.

Jul 11, 2010 at 06:56PM EDT
