Alrighty. Threads involving personal music preferences, likes, dislikes etc. generally tend to become giant flaming battlegrounds from angsty teens to upper-class faggots, but nonetheless, I’m starting one. However, this thread really DOES NOT want to become like its predecessors. Simply, a thread where you can post what music you’re into, your favourite bands/artists, and discuss.

If it does turn peachy though, feel free to troll the shit out of it.

I’m sort of into a few different musical genres at the moment, and I tend to go into phases where I might like a genre, then throw it away and find another one. At the moment though I like listening to Post-Hardcore/Metal bands (Alexisonfire, A Day To Remember, We Came As Romans) as well as all out Metal and Hardcore (The Ghost Inside, Atreyu, August Burns Red, Parkway Drive). inb4 that ain’t music, it’s noise.

Other bands I’m into are Muse, Tool, Radiohead, Porcupine Tree, A Perfect Circle, Disturbed, Crystal Castles, M83, Depeche Mode, Mudvayne, Paramore, Slipknot (when they were good), and a ton more but I’m rambling on.

Any others here with similar tastes in music? Maybe some references to bands that you think we should all know about?

wow, every single music thread I’ve ever encountered on the internet always ended up needing a medic. Could this be my lucky break?

I have a ridiculously varied music taste.

Everything from teardrop by massive attack,
to my curse by killswitch engage.

I play piano, and I’m a BIG CLASSICAL MUSIC FAN.
(By classical music, I mean the Common Practice Era.)
I would say the my favorite composers have to be…
Bach:

Rachmaninov:

And Beethoven:

Electronic, progressive metal, and lots of other stuff. Techno, trance, hardstyle, hardcore, jumpstyle, j-core, lolicore, mikucore, dubstep, dubstyle, j-pop (sometimes), classical, house, and a bunch more I can’t think of at the moment.
Examples:
Noizenecio – Wounded and Dead

A-Lusion – Visual Perception

Klippa – Dull Blade

Zany – The Great Zany Show (Dubstyle Mix)

Yuyoyuppe – EMPTY feat. Megurine Luka

Alice DeeJay – Better Off Alone 2008 (C o O k ! e Remix)

I could go on and on, but this post already has far too many embeds.

I used to listen to Hardstyle, Dubstep and Happy Hardcore but sorta got over that phase. I still kinda listen to Headhunterz, The Prophet, Angerfist, A-Lusion and Mt Eden though.
