My question is: how much support and or "+1 confirm" does it take for a meme to go to the confirmed section? If this has ever been said before, I wouldn't know (also I used search).

It doesn't do anything. In the end, the mods are the ones responsible for confirmation. "+1 confirm" does not actually do anything, it's just something we do to show our approval. It's actually frowned upon a little, it confuses newcomers (like is shown here).

Vagita What the does the scouter say?
I see what you did there..
But seriously, I see now, I will just have to wait.
probably for a while. articles, depending on validity and whether they are featured while in submissions, can take a long time to be confirmed.
IT'S OVER +9000 CONFIRMS!
Typically, if you have a nicely-written article and do enough research, you should message the Mods to help speed up the process. You can also create a new thread in the "Meme Research" section to have others review the entry and point out to those mods responsible for the confirmation/deadpooling of submissions that your article is good to go.
