Just came across this while reading up on ANN. Nico Nico Douga has started and english beta.

I really do think the NND style comments is a really cool idea, but I've always found viewing the videos (and like you said, not loading half the time) to be kind of annoying and buggy.

Still though, this looks pretty interesting.

I think our research can benefit a lot from this.

Can't wait to use it.

Different from other language versions, English version doesn't share movies with other versions and provides only comment system. That's not so good.

I hope "comment art" also will be imported to English version. it's really enjoyable.

In Japan, people who produce cool comment art is called "comment meister".
