If some of you aren’t aware, most of central Europe has been undergoing an “icy chill” originating from Siberia for over a week now. Wind is strong & bitter, Snow (even in Italy), and obviously low temperatures.
I think the lowest temperature I witnessed last week was probably -16 / 17 celsius (with the windchill), in fahrenheit it woud be 3.2 / 1.4 approximately.

So I guess my question to you is, what’s the coldest winter you’ve ever experienced ?

My coldest winter, the weather probably got to about -15 with windchill down to -40 (?).

In the opposite sort of news, we’re having one of the warmest winters in over a century here in Minnesota.

It’s 40 degrees out constantly, bitches!

At least you guys GET snow! I live in fricken’ Florida! The closest thing we get to snow is hail! And we’re lucky to even get that!

The coldest I experienced though was three years ago. We got down to about the low 20’s.

I went to Lethbridge, Alberta in February once. It was about -20° (-4°F), -35° (-31°F) with windchill. So, yeah. Come to Canada if you want REAL winter.

The coldest I’ve ever experienced in South Carolina is 14°F.

I was actually rather modest when I wrote “-16/17°C with windchill”. I just verified and it was actually down to -23/25°C (with windchill). Today, the average wind speed is 35-45 km/h & the wind gust reached 54km/h.
Call me a baby, but that sounds like a “REAL winter” if you ask me.
Mind you, this weather has made its way all over Europe from Siberia.
In Siberia, it easily reached -40°C (I don’t want to even know with windchill)

So, yeah. Go to Siberia if you want a PERILOUS winter.

The coldest winter we ever had I actually had to evacuate to a southern city because our doctor was scared of frostbite.

I prefer the heat, I feel more relaxed in the heat due to it relaxing my muscles…. Suspiciously in the shower.
I wear my jacket on hot days. :|

I tend to disagree, I prefer the cold. In Summer, everyone goes to the beach, right? Well, I live a fair amount of KMs from a beach. Plus, I can’t stand going to sleep in the unbareable heat. On top of that, (I don’t know if you guys have this in America) every single bird in the goddamn neighborhood chirps like there’s no tomorrow. Again, it’s impossible to sleep. I love having a hot shower in the winter. L-O-V-E. After having a long game of basket ball, the first thing I do is go in shower. Honestly, nothing else. I don’t say hi to my family, I don’t acknowledge anything, straight up there. I don’t know about you guys, but having a cup of hot chocolate is very pleasurable in Winter. Burns in your moth, boils in your belly, it tastes 75% better in Winter than any other season.

Well, there’s my rant.

California over here, Currently sticking around 80 F throughout the day and a “chilly” 65 F at night. Children are running around in thick jackets and short-shorts. I would explain if I understood but I don’t. Feel free to send me some cold, I’ll send you some sun.

This has been the most fucked up winter I’ve experienced in Ohio. We hardly got any snow at all the first couple months and then we got a nasty little blizzard out of nowhere. But then, the last couple weeks were somewhat warm and sunny with temperatures in the 50s, and now it’s actually cold agian and it’s supposed to snow all weekend.

I think last year’s winter was pretty nasty though and may be the coldest I remember.

I feel bad for you guy’s, it’s new kensington PA where i live in and in winter it was hot and it never snowed and then we got about 5-6 inches of snow a few weeks ago then it decided to heat up again melting everything after 2 days and now it’s back to being cold again.

MAKE UP YOUR GODDAMN MIND MOTHER NATURE.
