Mod Edit- No matter how many times you post it, it’s still NSFW.

I’ve got a question to the mods who see this post: why can I not post a NSFW Gif on here?
Because Rule number 3 says:

“No porn or gore. External links to sites containing such content or ads will be censored at the discretion of moderators, unless it is absolutely vital to meme research discussions and accompanied by a clear [NSFW] warning label.”-KYM Forum Rule 3

And two NSFW Gifs I posted were removed and I’ve seen others posted which were even hidden within a NSFW button but still were removed. The thing is, one of the memes on here is GIF. The broadness of this meme qualifies every single GIF ever made as part of the meme. And within KYM Forum Rule 3 it states “No porn or gore”…“unless it is absolutely vital to meme research discussions and accompanied by a clear [NSFW] warning label.”

Since any GIF can be considered part of the GIF meme, NSFW GIFs qualify as well. Also, any component of a meme can be considered absolutely vital to meme research discussions because meme research incorporates every single piece of a memes culture including each individual entry no matter how small as a piece of it. So even a NSFW GIF, can be considered absolutely necessary since meme research is systematic investigation of pop internet culture and investigations certainly do need as much knowledge as possible which pertains to what is being investigated (in this case the GIF meme).

So if NSFW GIFs are vital to meme research since they’re part of the GIF meme and have been labeled with the NSFW warning, why can I still not post them?

If I’m right about this, then certain posts have been censored by mods which they simply cannot be censoring without breaking the rules since content can only be censored at their discretion ONLY if it isn’t vital to meme research.

And as a side note to keep this post in harmony with rule 2:

Because:

1. The ability to post anything even close to as NSFW as what you posted only applies to Entries.

2. Gifs aren’t a meme, they’re an image format.

3. This isn’t an entry nor is it for research.

You know the rules, if you try to circumvent them using what you hope passes for logic, you still will be punished.

Meme: An element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, esp. imitation.

Aren’t there like, thousands of different GIFs which have been linked to other people which would indeed make this a meme.

People have researched the GIF meme and posted the research on this site as an entry even. The fact that this site recognizes GIFs as only a subculture doesn’t change the fact that GIFs are a meme.

Your last statement seems almost hostile towards me for pointing out these flaws. I don’t understand why asking this question would enrage you. It was the troll gif that did it wasn’t it.

Mod Edit- Yeah, I’m not sure that a gif of dogs having sex with faces edited on them is SFW.
