I’m a genuine subject that thrives upon his own cognitive categorization, thank you very much! Now that we’ve cleared up that I’m a real person, I would really like to join in to play during my study breaks. The thing is, as of a few hours ago, I was rehearsing my defense on Emmanuel Levinas, and I figured I might create a radical new type of government, built upon a certain discours of reflective ethics. Also, Belgium has been without a government for +300 days now, and by participating in this game, I would like to change this, so please, let me join into this lollercoaster! :)

//edit
Let me scrap that, I’m a genuine NEW poster, real aswell, but singular, if you may!

Just because you study ethics and philosophical political theory does not mean you’re not an alt. In fact, you could be lying. The only way to solve this is to scan your IP with the others, which would mean a staff member will have to scan them. So stay there in the limbo of nations until I find a moderator willing to scan you of alt-ness.

Hah! I couldn’t agree more with you; it is true that a certain trait of my person does not rectify my uniqueness, so some sort of discussion wouldn’t be much of help here (it would rather make me seem like an asshat!). In this case however, an IP scan would indeed resolve that issue. So I’ll wait in your limbo, Tsar of Fedoras.

//edit
By the way, sorry already/ in advance if I might come over as posh, but I’m in the middle of my exams, and all this academic English is driving me insane! :/

Naw mang, I specifically avoided picking a big country. I’m not going to have much effect on the game as Singapore. Anyways, i think Red Syndicate is smart enough to sniff out the cheats. Red controls the results.

I was thinking as I made the above list that Vatican City has a fair amount of cultural pull worldwide, and Singapore has significant economic power in Asia. I actually considered Singapore as my first choice.

..oh wait.. But seriously, I’m going to lurk around a bit, and I’ll be back in half an hour to see if my non-altness has been established by then.

But 5 new members popped up. In one thread. At the same time. With the same nonchalant names.

What CjayS said. When these threads get put on the front page, they always get overrun with n00bs. Remember my meme JEOPARDY! thread? (Who here was able to follow the six or seven identity changes I’ve gone through since being “Alex Trebek”?) When that hit the front page, the thread went nuts with new players, much more than this one just did, and there was no reason to have multiple accounts for anyone in that thread but me, and I was open about my alt account. I think Red Syndicate’s rule about a player needing to stay active to remain in the game is a good one, and so I’m off to send in some marching orders for my troops.

Oh, and to reiterate what I said earlier in the thread, although I’m almost sort of playing India by proxy, I don’t mind if someone takes it on so long as they are a serious player.

I picked from a list that I didn’t make. I have no interest in screwing this game up; I’m just a long time kym lurked who signed up an account precisely to play this game. If I need to repick to assuage fears that I’m secretly an alt trying to trollolol the game, I’ll do so. I just want to play.

I just sent a message to Red Syndicate saying, “We will be willing to broker a peace with China if they are willing to cede Xizang province, and will contact them regarding such a possible truce.”

Nepal has no desire to carry on this fighting indefinitely, but will do so if necessary. In the interest of peace, we ask for a compromise. Our original intention was to push through until we liberated the orange area on the map below. If you cede Xizang province willingly, remove all Chinese military, and allow Tibetans to travel freely to this region from China, we will gladly cease hostilities in this region.

It should be noted that we cannot speak concerning the situation in Xinjiang, nor regarding what possible repercussions China may suffer resulting from their unprovoked attack on Nippon-koku.

The people of Germany have decided to aid the SAC in their struggle against China. We’ve sent a Fighter Squadron to intercept any Chinese bombers coming into Nepal and a Paratrooper Battalion has been sent to back up your defensive lines. Be advised that both these units are still under German control, but we support your cause. Also, we’d be interested in any information you find about the Chinese directed laser project.

Oh, and I need permission from the SAC to allow my Fighters and Troops to use your bases for resupply.

The State of Israel would prefer to begin with a Small Professional Military, larger than minuscule because military service is mandatory for all able-bodied citizens at the age of 18. We have the 34th largest military in the world, we are not minuscule.

The State of Israel would be glad to accept the Egyptian trade offer, and applaud their moves toward democracy.
Research Goals: We would like to build a permanent base on the Moon no later than 2030. To do so, we would like to enlist the American space transport company SpaceX, in partnership with the Israeli Space Agency. We would also like to research Fusion Power.

Military: Average Professional
GDPpc: High
Techs: Solar Power(developing)
Trade: USA
Embargo: Syria, Morrocco, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordon, Palestine, Sudan, Iran, Algeria, Tunisia

-To counteract the wide embargo against it, Egypt has opened up free trade with all democratic nations of the world.
-Algeria is invaded. Preliminary bombing of military instalations lasted a month, and caused Tunisia and Morrocco to successfully send aid, intervening in the war.
-Riots in Tunisia have been quieted, but Morrocco grows more chaotic as military presence is shifted to the war in Algeria.
-The African Union is condemned as an alliance of tyrants hellbent on annihilating freedom. It is demanded that the United Nations and its members embargo the nations which have embargoed Egypt.
-As the war on tyrany grows, Egypt’s citizens are becoming supremely radical, and hordes of volunteers are begining to enlist as freedom fighters. There are presently not enough arms for all of them.
-Infrastructural improvements across north Africa has streamlined logistics, and Egyptian armies are never short of supplies.
-More and more, Egypt is being seen as a revolutionary state, akin to Napoleonic France. Pro-democracy furvor has united the many cultures that Egypt now presides over.

-A surprise invasion of Germany is launched. Now being involved in a war of multiple fronts, the German military quickly tires out, and Berlin is lost.

China – Red – Frozenpwn
Military: Big Specialist Nuclear
GDPpc: Medium
Techs: Weaponized Energy Beams(developing)
Trade: France, Brazil

-Their economy steadily modernizing, China has vastly increased its GDP, although a good portion of it is being plunged directly into the war effort.
-Fed up with geurilla tactics, Chinese generals are ordered to come up with solutions to detecting and annihilating threats early on.
-Heavy usage of helicopters and other low flying air units has led to marginal success against Nepali and Tibetan guerilla fighters, decreasing Chinese casualties on that front.
-Mass tactical bombing of civilian structures in Nepal has led much of China’s neighbors to see her as a monster.

Spain – Black – EP73
Military: Big Draft
GDPpc: Medium
Techs: Laser Shields (developing)

-Experience gained during the war and training from Swiss officers has increased the quality of the Spanish army.
-The war on France is going well, with Paris being in sight of some of the battlefields. It is expected that France will collapse by the end of the year.
-ICBMs capable of carrying nuclear warheads are constructed, but without access to Uranium the Spanish are unable to actually claim that they have “nukes”.
-Attempts to increase Spain’s oil driling operations in the Iberian have only been slightly successful, due to the fact that Spain does not sit on top of large quantities of it.
-Mining operations and industrial production are encouraged, and the agrarian population is slowly drifting towards urban manufacturing.
-A small force invades Ireland, successfully overtaking the island’s meagre army.

New rules n’ stuff

No more players may join, as it’s becoming rediculous to try and manage this thing. Usually I get five to ten players max. This has what, thirty? I’m going to request that it be removed from the front page.

From this moment forward, if you don’t send in a turn via PM, your nation is forfeit and collapses; you are booted from the game. No exceptions, and you cannot rejoin the game. Period.

If I got your colour wrong, sorry, but I was only reading PMs and didn’t bother hunting through the thread for where you claimed your nation and colour. Just tell me via your next PM what new colour you want instead.

edit: also, Brandon Perez is playing Argentina, but I forgot to add his nation. Will do next turn, just act like he is already playing.
