I stumbled upon this recently on my own surfing YouTube and I am a little glad we already have a partial entry on this. Since the Jumpstyle entry was confirmed I’ve been slowly looking at other dance memes and I would like to collaborate a little more info and get some opinions.

Thoughts/observations on the spread of tecktonik?
Any French researchers want to lend a hand?

And further tacking on after looking at the Insight data:

Tecktonik for some reason is getting crazy high search traffic in Mongolia and Mexico recently.

In addition to the others entries I’m working on, I can give you a hand about Tecktonik when I get some time.
What I can assert right away while I’m here: While the dance isn’t that popular anymore, “Tecktonik” became a well-known way of making fun of someone. Comparing someone to a member of Tecktonik is almost like slanding him in a “you are as cheesy and brainless as these guys” way.
