Mary Jane Pose

I've been doing a lot of researching (read "lurking on multiple websites including, but not limited to: 4chan, tumblr, twitter, etc…") on memes within art and comic communities on the internet, and the cover art for issue #601 of "The Amazing Spiderman" has become a point of interest:

It has been criticized for the weird anatomy, extreme emphasis on Mary Jane's breasts, but most importantly (and memetically), the fact that the pose that she is sitting is does not really match the mood which the cover is trying to convey.

This has lead to a photo trend almost like Planking, Playing Dead, and Owling:

However, this is what I'm currently having trouble finding:
-The original person/blog to make the pose
-The post that sparked more criticism on Mary Jane's pose
-A name for this trend other than "Mary Jane's Pose", which, in my opinion, is a really stupid name

Help is greatly appreciated!

Okay, think I've found them. Here is what I think is the most popular post about this comic cover and this reblog shows most of the original pics and the blogs they came from. However, the very first MAry Jane recreation, the frizzy haired guy, seems to be down, or gone.

Oh wait, ignore that. It is still up, and here is the original . I hope this was helpful.
