Hi KYM. I’ve started out the entry for Vertical Comics. It is used quite frequently online and there are even generators for these. But I’m having difficulties tracing the origins and spread of verticals. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I don’t think that this qualifies as an internet meme. Vertical Comics is basically just a format, and has probably been around for a long, long time.

yes it has been around for a long time. ti has been transformed though, as an image macro (like advice animals, but longer) online.
Maybe a mention of this sub-reddit dedicated to vertical comics, The Cheezburger Comixed site or This Tumlr page. Good luck!
