Post entries you need help with or just a simple review.

Others can look into it and give you the stuff you need. This by posting it here, making a suggestion/comment on the entry or request editorship.

Do use this thread for:

  • Requesting help on stuff you can't seem to find (origin, certain website, etc).
  • Ask for possible missing information (spread you don't know about).
  • A review for your entry.
  • Certain things only moderators can do (adding it to a parent entry).

Do NOT use this entry for:

  • Requesting a confirm/deadpool/re-submission.
  • Advertise your own creation.
  • A get-out-of-jail free card, at least attempt to do some work yourself first.

When you want to help a person posting here by requesting editorship, please look at this thread first. Far too often I receive editorship requests of people making great promises, only to end up doing nothing or maybe one grammar check. This is stuff for suggestions.

I'll make a seperate post to give a simple idea of it.

Today I gave the Slam Remix entry a major rewrite. Confirming the origin, adding information, clean-up, etc.

Please give me a review on the entry. What is good and what is bad? Should I do something different? Notice any grammatical errors or other small stuff? Tell me about it.

Another example: Dinkleberg Entry

I can't seem to find the original scene used in the advice animals. I know it's from Season 3, Episode 22: Miss Dimmsdale, but certain vids won't load in Europe.

I also can't really confirm an original thread that started the meme. High chance that this was started on 4chan, making it a possibility that it's lost forever. But if you find anything, please tell.

I can't find the origin. I've recibed a lot of suggestions, but I can't confirm nothing without evidences. If anyone knows anything about the origin of this rage face, please, tell to the editors.

I can't find the origin or the spread. I searched a lot, but I only found 2 posible origins: Tumblr and Krautchan. If anyone can help to search or know anything, please tell me

Mainly what's needed is info on the origin (besides coming from Gladiator, I mean when it first started getting used as a macro).
Also I need a mod to make the article part of the Advice Animals series.

Also, how do I add those numbered superscript citations?

I have a problem with uploading my entry. I've tried to enter it on both Firefox and Chrome, but every time I select Create Entry!, the browser just sits there for about a minute or so then goes to a page that says the site is down. Is there any way to fix this? I've worked pretty hard on this entry…

I've laid out new bases for four abandoned entries, and written as much as I can. Now each of them need to be expanded with more info, spread, usage, and possibly more proof of origin.

For starters, I suggest changing the grammar a bit.

After the much more known Weegee meme became popular, some guy decided to give Weegee a brother, to parody the famous Super Mario Bros. Then, the Malleo meme was born on the LUE forums (now End of The Internet) where Weegee was also created.

That's written like you're telling a story.

You can't confirm this, so it's better to not put this in the entry. As it's possible incorrect information. If you're certain that he created it or find the real person who made it, this should be added.

Make the videos wider (I usually go with 300) and center all the images/videos.

Also add an image table and add more external links if possible. Give us some more examples of spread.

I've had my Tobuscus entry up for a while now and I've pretty much done all of it myself. If someone could please tell me what, if anything I should add or change I would be much obliged.

Well, apparently, some guy on DeviantArt MADE the meme. I found this by searching up Malleo meme and in the description it said its his new meme. But I'm exactly not sure…

But I might as well improve the entry and let the thread be used for its uses.

An entry that truly deserves attention. Bruce Lee . I've done everything myself, but I still think there is still a bit more to be added.
I would appreciate it if any of you could give me a hand with this.

I completely rewrote the TwilightSparkle.mp4 entry into Catgroove (along with some tweaks from RandomMan), but since the article already dropped off the public radar it hasn't seen an ounce of attention since.

I'm looking for reviews on it, and we need more examples if anyone can find anything. Plus, if anyone's got info about it that isn't up there already, let me know what you've got or request editorship. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I've seen Protecting virginity images around on memebase and other sites. i also found a good sum of images. i made a entry here titled Virginity Protection and i think you'd be perfect for helping me find the origin, and properly listing the spread. also i'm having trouble with the code for a notable images section, and a google search report. Get back to me if your interested, i think the meme has the potential.

I handled the Notable Images and Search Insights for you, as well as adding some External References and cleaning up the About and Spread sections a bit.

I did some actual work on Red vs. Blue and soon we are hoping for a new category to cover our popular internet series. If all works out well, we can for sure see if the Red vs. Blue entry is good enough for confirmation.

For now, I request help on the plot because I haven't kept up with it. Also I could use some feedback on it to see what is missing and what should be added.

Also, this may sooner or later have to be a sub-entry to Rooster Teeth Productions.

I made an entry for Terry Crews. He has been a popular visual resource in YTPMVs. And nowadays, his popularity is spread even to Nico Nico Douga. So I made that entry.

But I don't know so much about Terry Crews himself and the actual evaluations of those ytpmvs in YouTube.

So, if possible, please someone enrich information about those.

Hi, I would like to do a submission on the Rose Ashton-Weir Meme. It started a few days ago when these articles came out.

And since then the mems have started to show up on Education networks such as the NSW TAFE Yammer and the Law School Memes on Facebook.

But I am not sure how to do the "Search Volume" check required for te stats, or how to find who created teh first meme.

Any hints?

hey guys i added this in a few days ago but i am having trouble with the search insight for spread and origin. i know the origin is the commercial from the 90s, but i cant pinpoint exactly what year and which commercial it started in. I have noted some spread in other sites by seeing it on those sites from time to time, but i have trouble with this as well. I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter.

So I came back tonight from such a long hiatus from here, and I found that my first entry ever had been screwed with and made into something that barely has anything to do with the Lavender Town thing at all.

I'd like to request revoking all editing rights except from myself and New Age Retro Hippie, or at least revoke editing rights to those who messed up the entry in the first place.
Also, I'd like to undo everything that has been done to this article and revert it to its original state. :(

Trying to get a very recently posted ad campaign posted as a meme. The ad is from Smirnoff US and features a man using turntables. The "dj" in the image is lacking very necessary equipment such as records, slip mats, a mixer, and turntable needles. This ad campaign has gained the negative attention of several big name DJs and producers via Twitter and Facebook such as Deadmau5. I don't have the time to research it myself and can't find the image origin. Nor can I find the Repost data and hits for any sort of stats.

Y helo thar, I have these three website entries that I've worked on more or less entirely by myself, and it's hard to keep them from being buried, forever lost in the KYM submissions box, never confirmed and never deadpooled. I am really in need of both touching up, reviewing and new information for the articles if there is any. I'd appreciate any help I can get. Hello. Bump Girl has always been a deep interest of mine. I started the Facebook page and soon to be starting a website for it. I'm certain I've obtained 98% of her images yet still hunting.

My guess is that it was too explicit. On the whole, Know Your Meme does not house or promote explicit materials. Going by your images, your entry was more pornographic in nature than for documentation.

No porn or gore. External links to sites containing such content or ads will be censored at the discretion of moderators, unless it is absolutely vital to meme research discussions and accompanied by a clear [NSFW] warning label.

I'm not a Entry Moderator nor do I have expertise in the area, but you may want to talk to RandomMan or another Database/Entry Moderator to be advised.

Until then, I'd suggest holding off on any research endeavors
