The Disappointed Black Guy meme is a 4-panel expectation-reality kind of comic. Does anyone know its origins and spread?

I have absolutely no idea. I saw it used once, then it disappeared and came back again as something else.

The first time I saw it was at least over a year ago and it was about a joke on Tumblr.
