"Nothing of Value" meme?

Hey all, I’m new here and I apologize if this is the wrong spot for this…

But I’ve been trying to find the origin for the “And nothing of value was lost” meme for a bit, and I can’t find anything. Even a search on here comes up with nothing for the meme itself (although a few people are using it). Anyone have any idea where it started?

“And nothing of value was lost” comes from the old Critic cartoon show. Jay Sherman’s son Marty, through a series of mishaps involving a parade float made to look like a horse’s ass (or “plot”, if you prefer) accidentally burns down the theater where Cats is being performed, prompting Jay to exclaim “and nothing of value was lost!” And indeed, nothing of value was lost…
