Umm, guys… might want to check out FunnyJunk.
Apparently they're doing a 'No Post on Sundays' Sunday in memory of Richard Griffith, who recently passed away and is known for his acting in Harry Potter, which inspired this image:

All top rating content and comments appear to be related to Richard Griffith either as a form of spam, to overwhelm posts which were posted despite the 'No Post on Sundays' rule, or simply in memorial.

The trend seems to be isolated to FunnyJunk, as /b/ and reddit are operating as per usual.
Whether or not it's worth documenting, I'll let mods decide.

They even created a channel

And there's also some images on Tumblr. I think it's notable enough to be covered on an entry.
