"Boner" memes

Should be deadpooled, there's no spread at all and the article itself is poorly made. "I've got the weirdest boner" is far more popular and more widely used, and it should stay confirmed.

Wow, I had no idea this topic would be so contentious. Look at all the downvotes (none of which were mine) for anyone who suggests deadpooling. Might I suggest that whoever is against deadpooling this meme give a good suggestion as to how to save it, since it's not presently getting any more confirmed.

Personally, I think that "I have the weirdest boner" is a separate meme, but I'm starting to wonder if this entry can really work.

Deep quality discussion up in this thread.

Agreeing with Derpyvaz on "Stop It Boner", it's a popular reaction image.

Seconded. I've definately seen spread and derivations of it, and I don't even search around much.

I'd be willing to work on the article, by the way.

Ok I'm writing the entry for "Stop It Boner" so if anyone has any info on it please share.
one thing is I'm not sure what image macro came first and where it originated from.

I tried doing a TinEye search on both of the pictures. Nothing came up on the second one, and the first one points to a few Imageboard and porn sites.

I'd say the second one is older simply by the art style and quality, but that's not really a good clue.

How do people usually research these things?

so far here's what I found

this pic dates back to Aug 2010 on porn site

this one dates back to Feb 2011 on 4chan /tg/

and this dates back to Aug 2010 plus4chan.org /a/ Avatar

But then this was uploaded to an image hosting site May 2010

A Google reverse image search can often work wonders, but in figuring out a date, you have to be careful. Google will give you the date of the main content of the page while an image like that may be in the comments from a long time afterwards.

the problem is….
the one I figure would be the original (the 2 pane without any words) shows up later than the ones that are obvious parodies

I know especially with 4chan the originals and original posts are not always archived so it's hard to say what pic came first. I can narrow all of them down to early 2010 but I can't narrow down which one is the first original one. I just have a feeling that the one without words is the original but no proof.

Also I asked Amanda this and I will ask here as well…
does this even really need an entry because it is part of computer reaction faces
I know memes can be started as part of another meme and branch off onto it's own but I almost feel in this case it's covered and could just be updated a bit.

What do you guys think?

Maybe the suggestions were right, and all of this really goes under "I have the weirdest boner".

The thing that makes it hard is that so many memes are interrelated, and the cartoon is probably related to multiple Internet phenomena, like how English is considered a Germanic language, but is highly influenced by French and Latin.
