Entries On Athletes

When it comes to documenting celebrities that have an online presence, I was wondering if the same can apply to athletes. I'm not talking about an entry on a meme or event that an athlete created, I'm talking about a person entry on a certain athlete. For example, Josh Hamilton has gained some Internet notoriety during last winter when he left the Texas Rangers to sign with the Los Angeles Angels. Many Rangers fans became disgusted when Hamilton stated that, "Texas does not have a baseball town." As a result, a Twitter campaign known as #Silence4Josh was started in which the account would tell fans to not boo or cheer Hamilton when the Angels played the Rangers in Texas (that didn't go well since lots of fans booed Hamilton). Could there be any other examples that could result in the creation of an entry for an athlete?
