"If X people join this facebook group"

You know on Facebook there are so many groups with the group creator(s) saying if a certain number of people join the group, they would do something: maybe renovate a house into a pirate ship, shave his head off, dance in public etc. Should this be considered a meme?

There's also another type of group called "I bet I can find X people (within Y time) who like/hate Z". Maybe this can also be a meme?

Having a target or goal is too vague.

The funniest one I ever came across was "If 100,000 people join this group then I'll call my son Batman" XD
But yeah, as Chris said…and I'm not too sure there are mutations or derivatives of this kinda of thing.

Lol, I didn't bother joining seeing as there was one guy who said he'd change his name to Superman if he got 100,000 join his group. The group went past 100,000. The guy didn't change his name…
Sad times…I never could believe in anything again…
