Inside jokes? Memetic or IRL?

Just think about it. Inside jokes are so popular in today’s society. But what I’m getting at is that they are popular over the internetz also. For instance, they are used on facebook, twitter, myspace etc. but they can be stationed to forums that are new to some people. And, yes, I know that generating memes on this site is illegal, but CAMOWAM was totally misunderstood by me as a noob. Definitely an inside joke. So whaddya think?

When we think about it, all memes were inside jokes at their birth.
But, not all inside jokes are memes…

That’s true, Tomberry.

But I’m specifically referring to all the unknown IJs that are spread around, you know? The unrecognized ones.
