So, its time I update the Ranka Lee pose entry, but I am still missing basic elements. I do not know what episode the clip air on, and I do not know where to start on finding the first derivative of it. I would do this myself but this time I have not watched/do not have the time to watch Macross Frontier and/or too busy/too lazy to trace spread for whatever reason.

So this time I am asking you fellow KYM internet scientists for your help.

What I request for your help on:

-Episode that aired clip
-first (or earliest) derivative
-spread of usage in RL?
-why popular
-Fan art template (aka OH, EXPLOITABLE)
-current popularity on NND/Youtube/Pixiv
-any spread to western interwebs

I think it first appeared in episode 17 of Macross Frontier. Or maybe that was just the OP with Interstellar Flight in it. Let me double check.

And thought I'd post this just because it's another example of a MAD based on it so you have another example.

Nope. My research tells me that it first appeared on Episode 12 and was Ranka Lee's debut song.

My bad. I was thinking about the OP version. The OP version is in episode 17.

ANYWAY, I think the only usage in real life is by cosplayers.

And why it's popular? Obviously because of the large amounts of moé in that clip. It's too much for even though evilest of evil.
