Quite a while ago I tried to bring to the attention of this site's researchers the findings of a blogspot user Corpuscula and her friend Julie, regarding one of the oldest LOLcat memes – the Happy Cat (I Can Has Cheezburger cat).

Luckily, the links I have provided are still up, so I hope somebody would archive them.

Back then the users that didn't bother to look into it just downwoted me out of doubt. The Happy Cat page states questionable data and says "still researching", but apparently nobody cares anymore, as no statement have been made about the findings.

As Amanda B. said it at the time, it is a solid lead. Thing is, A lot of older entries need a revamp and this is a slow process actually.
That doesn't mean we didn't take your links into account though.

Better archive them though, as Narod.ru (hoster of that web 1.0 site) is goimg to clen up the old pages, as Yandex (local Russian analogue of Google that bought it) will revamp the service to suit their needs.
